Good product but

I love Scanpan products, Indeed I purchased almost all SCANPAN TechnIQ items for kitchen but I am a little disappointed on this Bistro Pan in particular, I used it only a few times since I bought it at Williams Sonoma store and now I realized that it got scratched on the side. I don't even put it in the dishwasher and I've been taking good care of it, as much as all my other pans but now I see those scratches, I am very disappointed

Nonstick works with daily dishwasher cleaning

I really don't like washing pans. So my first and foremost criteria for nonstick pans is that they are safe for dishwasher cleaning on a regular basis. I'm very satified with this Scanpan TechnIQ Nonstick Bistro Pan. It stands dishwasher really well. The outside bottom of the pan gets slightly corroded, which is normal as the manual indicated. (The same thing happens with my previous nonstick pan, which has served me for 3 years and will likely last another one.) Everything else remained like new.

Simply amazing

I had been looking for an essential everyday pan. I had done a bit of research with other brands and this one had everything I was looking for. Healthy nonstick, easy to clean, and perfect for almost any use. Highly recommended. Since purchasing this one I have added another SCANPAN to my kitchen and I am very satisfied w/ the product.

Love this pan!

I havent purchased a non stick pan for years because they weren't really nonstick and had to be hand washed. This bisro scanpan is miraculous. Nothing sticks, so easy to clean, love the size and height. Very versatile.

Truly non-stick and browns beautifully

The above poster is correct. This Bistro is actually 4 quart capacity, not five. WS still has it listed as 5 quarts. I have made rice dishes in this brand of non-stick and compared it to making the same dish in my All-Clad stainless steel. The All-Clad creats a scrapable fond on the bottom with proteins. The non-stick Bistro does not. However, the Bistro still browns perfectly - it's just on the food and not sticking to the pan. My companion and I could not tell the dishes apart. The Bistro reduced the cabbage much quicker and the cleanup with a breeze. Winner: Bistro. I will be adding to my TechnIQ collection. I've had non-stick before, but this new stuff actually browns and cooks the way I'm used to. I particularly like this brand as the handles angle upwards and keep your hands away from the heat source. I'm very impressed with this brand.

Very versatile pan

This pan is a very useful size and shape for sauting and small brazes. The curved bottom edges allow for easy saute flipping of products in the pan, and the extra inch or two in height of the sides makes sure nothing "flips" out and allows the pan to be used for smaller brazes as the curved bottom also limits the surface space for browning. However, for brazing you'll need to supply your own 10.25" lid as the bistro pan does not include one (note: the Techniq Dutch Oven is also 10.25" so if you have that pan, too, its lid will fit both pans; also, there is a 10.25" Scanpan lid that can be purchased separately if really needed.). The height of the Bistro pan is 3.5", not 5.5" inches as stated under the product's "Dimensions" tab. W-S really needs to be more precise in measuring and posting correct dimensions of products on their web site. For an online vendor offering many high-end products, such careless measuring is very frustrating for online buyers!
