    I love this thing!

I love this ice cream maker! It is so easy to use and is much quieter than I expected. The pots fit nicely in my small freezer. I wish I could buy more pots without having to buy another Fast Freeze. Makes wonderful, creamy ice cream very fast. A little hard to push the blades forward and hold them to clean. Overall, fairly easy to clean. It's just a perfect ice cream maker for me.

Favorite blending machine for ice creamy texture!

love this bad boy! I'd love it more (as in that last star to make this a 5* review) if I could get my hands on additional dessert cups as a set of three that I could purchase separately!

    Works just as described

I made a delicious ice cream tweaking one of the recipes in the booklet. It's easy to use and even easier to clean.

    Can't remove cup!

Because of cancer, I avoid sugar, so I was looking forward to making sugar-free ice cream. I have many medical and PT appointments, so finally found time to use this. I watched several videos, then prepared the ice cream, and froze it per instructions. This morning I took my laptop to the kitchen, to be sure to follow instructions correctly. Took cup from freezer, let it sit for 10 minutes. Then attached cup to mixing assembly, attached cup to mixing assembly, connected the power handle to mixing assembly, plugged the unit in, pressed power button, followed instructions 10 thru 13 in the Cuisinart manual. Now I can't remove cup from mixing assembly. I asked Google, and have tried suggestions: wrapping in a warm towel, using hair dryer on low. It's been over an hour, and cup is still stuck. It will not turn to the unlocked position. Side effects from chemo, radiation limit my time and activity. If I can get the cup to separate, I'll try again. Will change rating if I can master this!

    Best ice cream machine ever

Best ice cream machine ever. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Makes smooth ice cream and smoothies. It’s so much faster than the bigger machines and great for drawer storage.

    Small but mighty

Easy to use, small for storage. We love the ‘protein’ ice cream we have been making

Oh my goodness! This is awesome!

This is the perfect size for me and makes awesome ice cream! I have food allergies so I have to use soy milk and I also have to watch my sugar intake so I eat a small amount of my ice cream after dinner. This makes a cup of ice cream and although it's hard to stop eating it because it's sooo good, I can make the container last for up to seven days. I came up with my own recipe for chocolate peanut butter chocolate chip ice cream and you would never know it's not real ice cream. I just mix everything together in the container, put it in the freezer for 24 hours and then within three minutes I have awesome ice cream!

    Fast Freeze

Great machine for making cream. Simple to operate, freeze mixture and in 24 hours you’re enjoying the results. Only Con is they need to have extra containers to purchase on line. 3 pint containers included with unit aren’t enough, especially if you have a family!

    Perfect Ice Cream Maker

Totally pleased with this product! Great to have ice cream with so little effort put into making it. Also a plus is that the containers do not take up a lot of space chilling them in the freezer as with the typical bowl. Very pleased with the taste and consistency of the ice cream and making them with whatever ingredients you choose. Great as gifts. Another big plus is that it’s so compact and very easy to operate. Excellent product!

    Needs Improvements

You have to play with it to find out what works. First time I used it, I ended up with chalky ice-cream. I came up with a recipe using frozen yogurt that had added honey. I then added 1 jigger of heavy cream, 1 jigger of coconut cream, 1 capful of pure maple syrup and this made the perfect ice-cream. I did not use sugar nor salt because I did not want to use either. The trick to this is to keep the plunger down for longer than demonstrated after it turns red. Plunging up and down 3 times (as demonstrations show) did not produce good results. The more you plunge, the creamier it gets. The perfect number of plunges for me was 10. The CONS: difficulty lining up the plunger after inserting it...I have to wiggle it around several times to get it into place. Lines on the outside and on the plunger showing exactly where to insert plunger would sure be a big help. Secondly, the blades are very difficult to clean. You have to depress the blades to clean under them and you will need both hands to do it if you have weak wrists or are not very strong, so then all you can do is plunge it into water which does not really clean it. You need some kind of a brush to do the job right so now you can only use one hand to depress the blades. This needs to be re-designed with a lever that keeps the blades down when cleaning. Overpriced for what it is. Too small for milkshakes and slushies IMO. Cuisinart needs to make available extra containers sold separately. The PROs: Small unit that stores easily. Does produce creamy ice-cream with effort. 1/2 pint for me is ONE serving NOT two as you don't fill contents to the top of the container.
