Vitamix Propel 750 Blender

Great

I bought my Vitamix machine in 2010 , and was in good shape until I forgot the spoon inside and I broke the cup, but still work the machine, I just need a new cup.

Loud and Failing After a Month

This mixer blends well enough, but it's surprisingly loud--much more so than the older model I replaced. And the base isn't heavy enough to keep from slowly turning on the counter when it's on high speed. I have to wedge it up against the lip of the stove top if I want to walk away while it's blending (which I certainly do, given how loud it is). The jar is shorter and wider than the old model, which means that it's hard to blend a single evening's worth of salad dressing. The liquid just isn't deep enough to reach the blades. So I have to make twice as much as I actually need. Finally, the speed dial has stopped working after just a month. Everything blends on high now, no matter where we set the dial.

Love it, wish it was a bit shorter

Love the speed, love the self-cleaning feature. Wish it was half an inch shorter. While it fits under the cabinets, it needs to be ‘wiggled in’.

Hope this ends up being worth the money

Good blender, seems strong and solid. Two complaints though. The lid is a pain to get on and off and clean, and the measurement marks on the side on nearly impossible to read. This right there is almost enough to make me regret buying this blender. Having to crouch down, squint, and shake the blender to try to figure out where the 1 cup mark is every single time is getting old. Love the big jar, and if we could fix that problem (we're THIS close to just using a sharpie to mark the lines) I'm sure we'd love it.

Great blender

Easy to use, fast to make a smoothie with little thought. Mixes really well. Only complaint is it's a little noisy.

Have always loved Vitamix

My first Vitamix was 35 years old and I have loved it. Now it’s time for a new one and I am so happy with all the features… This is and has always been my most used appliances in my kitchen.

Nice, but...

Good unit. Reminds me of our family's previous Vitamix that lasted 9+ years. However, I've noticed that this unit sounds louder than the last.

What happened to the quality build of the 5200?

I purchased this unit four days ago and wanted to share my first impressions. For context, I’ve been a loyal Vitamix user for over a decade, having owned the 5200 for 12 years before losing it in a flood. Naturally, I expected a similar or improved experience from a product positioned as “premium.” Unfortunately, the build quality is immediately disappointing. The container, lid, and tamper all feel noticeably cheaper—lighter, less sturdy, and made of lower-grade materials than what I was used to with the 5200. Even the motor base feels like a step down, with a lighter weight and plastic that feels less durable and refined. After just a few smoothie runs, it became clear that the design of the container causes liquid to spill down the sides unless the blend is fully liquified—something I never encountered with my previous model. It creates an unnecessary mess and frustration. Frankly, this doesn’t feel like a premium product at all. I expected more from Vitamix, and at this point, I regret not simply repurchasing the 5200. Very underwhelmed so far.
