Use & Care
Use
- Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
- Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal or glass.
- It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.
Care
- Hand-wash with warm water and a mild detergent; rinse and dry immediately.
- Avoid cleaners containing bleach or citrus extracts.
- Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing once a week, you should not need to sharpen your knife more than once or twice a year.
- Sharpen your knife at home using a whetstone or knife sharpener designed to sharpen between 9- and 12-degree angle, or have it sharpened by a professional.
- Store knife in safe place to protect edge and prevent injury.

A nice, long lasting birthday gift
A great knife on sale for a great price. Willing makes really good knives and this one has a Damascus steel blade, which is not only beautiful but stays sharp for a long time. I already owned one so purchased one for my daughter.

Excellent knife!
An amazing addition to my kitchen! I have always purchased good knives, Shun and Global, but this knife is significantly better. I absolutely love it. It feels great in my hand and is exceptionally sharp.

SHARP!
Holy crap! So THAT is what a sharp knife is like... I will not be using stainless steel ever again. Reminds me every time I use it of the saying, 'sharp knives are dangerous. Dull knives are more dangerous and should be sharpened.

So Functional and Beautiful !
I recently purchased this knife along with the Zwilling Kanren paring knife as a Christmas Gifts for my son. I took him to my local Williams Sonoma store, and had an associate show him the knives - Zwilling, Wusthof and Shun. These knives immediately stood out as absolutely beautiful - also felt perfect in his hand. I have never seen such amazingly detailed and beautiful knives before - I will likely purchased the matching steak knives and others for special occasions in the future. I'm strongly considering buying them for myself as well - just too awesome to pass up !
