Use
- Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
- Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal and glass.
- It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.
Care
- Dishwasher safe. However, we recommend hand-washing with warm water and mild detergent for best results. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Use honing steel regularly to maintain cutting edge of blade.
- Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing, knife should not need sharpening more than once or twice per year.
- Sharpen knife using sharpener specifically designed for serrated blade, or have it sharpened by a professional.
- Store knife in safe place to protect edge and prevent injury.

A “specialized” utility knife

Tomato preparation is beyond compare. The 5” serrated blade effortlessly slices thru the body - thick or thin, dices cleanly without crushing and the plain tip excoriates the stem easily. I STILL have not had the need to sharpen mine after years of ( light ) use. Small French or Italian bread loaves can be sliced cleanly and easily, with minimal crumb shed. What more could you ask for?

Good but thin/light

I have a similar knife and had assumed this would be the same quality, however it's a much lighter knife with a thinner and somewhat flexible (side to side) blade. It's safe to use, but I has hoped for something with much more heft.

Not as good as my serrated Sabatier or Wusthof

The actual serrations are on the large side, it would be better if they were smaller. Also, it needs about 1 more serration toward the tip of the knife to cut better. I only hand wash this knife but after about five washes it is beginning to discolor, the blade looks oxidized.

Why mess with perfection

This is the most perfect serrated knife I have ever used; I misplaced my last one so I'm just replacing it; but excellent for dicing and slicing and a perfect grip on the hilt

It cuts

It does it's intended job and for the price it's great only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is because the handle feels cheap (it's plastic) and a tad on the bulky side.

Love this versatile knife!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this knife as a gift and love it! I reach for it for so many kitchen chores. It is great for cutting tomatoes and so many other foods. Slices very thin if you prefer and doesn't just butcher what you are cutting. I hope to get many years of use out of this knife and have just purchased the 2 pc. prep set because I am so impressed with this knife.
