    Summary

Double serrations in this knife's scalloped edge produce exceptionally smooth, clean and precise cuts whether you're slicing bread, roasted meat or delicate-skinned fruits and vegetables. Slice through artisanal breads with fewer crumbs and minimal compression; cut perfectly thin slices of ripe summer tomatoes with no tearing. And because the blade scallops never touch the cutting board, the knife retains its sharpness and does not require sharpening.

    • Wüsthof has introduced a new logo for their cutlery. Please note that the logo on your knives may differ slightly from images shown here.
    • Knife is precision forged from a single piece of sturdy high-carbon steel that resists stains and corrosion.
    • Sturdy long blade has a scalloped and double serrated edge for extra-smooth and delicate slicing.
    • Wüsthof's Precision Edge Technology (PEtec) ensures a 20% sharper blade with twice the edge retention.
    • Full tang is triple riveted to the handle for exceptional durability and control.
    • Durable polymer handle is contoured for a comfortable grip.
    • 9"-long blade; 4 1/2"-long handle; 6.4 oz.

    Use

    • Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
    • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal or glass.

    Care

    • Hand-wash with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse and dry immediately.
    • Store knife in a safe place to protect its edge and prevent injury.

Great knife but packaging uses too much plastic

The knife works great and looks beautiful. It came quickly and attaches nicely to our magnetic knife bar. It’s comfortable to hold and super sharp. My only complaint is that the packaging has a lot of plastic and not very sustainable

    So Excellent

I’m so very thrilled with my WÜSTHOF serrated bread knife. Slicing home baked sourdough has never been so exciting.

Knives are not just about slicing bread!

I love to cook, but I never had great knives. My son and daughter in law bought me my first Wüsthof for Christmas about 10 years ago and I've added 2, now 3 more. They are wonderful and bonus-they are beautiful! I have white handles and this time bought the gorgeous pink! Function plus beauty=pleasure!

    Finally!

I make a sour dough bread that my spouse likes cut really thin. Other knives were not up to the task leaving me with useless slivers and crumbs. This bread knife cuts straight. Great product.

These Knives Will Likely Last Longer Than Your Marriage

Received the Classic Block Set as a wedding gift. The knives we used the most - santoku and bread - broke around year 16: Specifically, small pieces of the hilt cracked and broke off in the area where the hilt ended and the blade began. Still usable but aesthetically diminished. We used these 2 knives practically everyday. I remembered the lifetime warranty that came with the knives so I submitted a claim. Had to send the broken knives back to them and, subject to their inspection, Wusthof honoured the warranty and effectively replaced the knives. The American office provided me with a digital gift certificate that covered the cost of brand new knives which I then purchased on their website. Needless to say, I'm going to remain loyal to this brand forever, or until I'm not for one reason or another, whichever comes first. I would've replaced my knives with Wusthof anyway, even if they didn't honour the warranty, but now I'm going to give this butcher block set as a wedding gift every chance I get. And whenever I find myself in Germany, I'll bring back something from this company like ppl bring back Onitsuka Tigers fr Japan or crystal from the Czech Republic. Thank you, Wusthof. A family-owned business since 1814.

Middle range cost and high end performance

This knife was a recommendation of the sales person at Highland Park Williams Sonoma and it is a great knife in the middle cost point. We chose the sumac color, however it’s more of a brown. Ot was not in store and shipped, arrived a week earlier than expected. It is extremely sharp (my daughter cut her thumb which required 3 stitches). We have used it to cut our homemade sour dough bread, sandwiches and tomatoes. Outside of the cut thumb, extremely happy with the purchase.
