This pasta maker is so easy to use youll be enjoying great pasta in very little time. I love the internal weighing feature and it tells you just how much liquid to add to it. I love that it stores the attachments inside the machine as well. It may be a little bulky or some kitchens but it makes a lot of pasta in one sitting. I love it and I am sure you will too.

Great, after adjustments!

The Philips Smart Pasta Maker works well once you figure it out and figure out the right recipe. The extruder produces nice amount of even strands of pasta. It's far better than any other maker I've had. It's pretty easy to clean, too. FYI - Here are the drawbacks (not deal-breakers for me): 1. The discs need labels on them. The box shows each disc beside the pasta it makes but many are similar and there's no name on the pasta shown or the disc that produced it. Once I figured them out, I wrote the type on each one with a marker. 2. The scale is not accurate and/or the liquid measures are off. My first batch had too little water and would not extrude, though I followed the recipe. Tried another recipe with same results, so I had to use my own scale and recipe to get it to extrude. 3. It's a little temperamental. I got error codes and had to start over at times. Also, I have to periodically open the lid and push the dough toward the extruder to get it to extrude, not just little remaining pieces but half the dough in the chamber. 4. Instruction booklet is terrible. I had to Google YouTube videos to find out what to do. 5. Measuring cup is extremely hard to read the numbers with clear print indented on a clear cup. (Replace it with a clearly marked accurate measuring cup.) 6. The discs don't all fit in the disc holder drawer. You have 3 loose discs to store plus the tools. The ones that don't fit in the drawer can be fit into the dough chamber. 7. Recipe app has missing ingredients. Example - "Plain Flour & Oil" recipe says mix the oil and water but oil amount is not listed. Considering the inaccurate scales, you might be happier with their cheaper model that let's you measure your own ingredients, but there are fewer discs and discs are pricy. So, I'm keeping my pasta maker. It feels like quality material and produces really nice pasta, once you adjust the recipes.

Worth it enjoy immensely

Honestly, this is a great device. I was able to make a batch of pasta in 10 minutes. There was a slight learning curve. I don’t feel like the scale is completely accurate so think I would have preferred to purchase the device without the scale, although the one with the scale came with more dies, and I feel it was worth the extra money for those Once you get it just right though you can make batch after batch in just 10 minutes each I enjoy the texture of the pasta and have tried other recipes, which have turned out quite well

Great concept but dont recommend

Great concept but doesnt follow through. I loved the idea of this having a built in weight to tell you how much water to add. I followed the instructions from the start. Each time it would measure the flour but i was never given a weight for the water. I literally tried it 10 different times (which is a pain to take out all the flour each time to remeasure). When i went to return it online it wouldnt let me return it ( i had it less than 10 days) and thankfully called customer service and they helped with the return. I would not recommend this product.

High hopes, big disappointment

I had high hopes for this but was very disappointed. I've been making pasta for years, either mixing by hand or using a kitchen aid with the attachments, and I bought this thinking it would be a quick and easy way to make pasta with my kids. Like a playdough machine. I think this will only work if you follow the machines recipes EXACTLY. And if you want to use egg, get ready to jump through hoops. My dough wasn't mixing properly, then extruded terribly, and because the whole process is an automated and timed machine routine, you can't get it to just mix a little longer. This would be way better if you could switch to manual mode.

Does not work for even 6 months

Made great pasta 6 times and now will never finish the cycle. No where to get it repaired. A waste of $300. Also hard to follow directions.

My husband loves this pasta maker- he’s used it multiple times- he’s tried the lasagna, penne and tagliatelle disks and was very pleased with how they turned out. We recommend this product!!

Love it- Love it - Love it. Best thing I ever bought. Made 5 different kinds of pasta the weekend we got the pasta maker.
