    Use & Care

    Use

    • Ideal for gas and electric cooktops.
    • Because the copper pot is unlined and highly reactive to ingredients, it should be used only for cooking with sugar – never for general cooking.

    Care

    • Allow pot to cool before washing.
    • Hand-wash; dry immediately with a soft cloth.
    • Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents.
    • Copper will develop a rich patina over time. This will not affect the pan's cooking performance. To keep the exterior looking new, use a copper polish or a combination of lemon and salt.

    Perfect for Homemade Caramel & Hot Fudge!

    My sugar pot is great for making caramel and hot fudge. I have had it for over 10 years. It's used daily for real hot cocoa. The pour spout never dribbles and the round handle gives you confident control while moving/pouring. Worth every dollar!

    Definitely an heirloom piece!

    I just received my 2 quart sugar pot and could not wait to rave about this gorgeous masterpiece! I have not used it yet, obviously! But, I know for sure this will be an heirloom piece which I will pass down to my children (they are only 2 and 5 years old, ha!). I am a pastry cook by profession and we pastry cooks make caramel every shift! I have always dreamed of owning copper pots for my sugar projects. Hands down, amazing quality! Heavy duty, received mines scratch free, copper throughout and it is a beautiful true shade of copper! Any cook who is serious in the kitchen MUST own a sugar pot like this! It was love at first sight...and then I held it, ugh. Sparks!!!

    Perfect Sugar Pot

    I was looking for the perfect sugar pot that would melt sugar without having to add water. This pot is it. The pot heats quickly and evenly eliminating the need to brush the sides with water. Cone shaped handle fits perfectly in your hand providing excellent control while rotating your hand when pouring! Creating an excellent carmel sauce is easy and addictive with this pan.It will become a household favorite of yours as it is for mine. Highly recommended.

    I love it, but understand if many would not. one must scrub completely the copper to clean the pot each time...so expect to do that. These are copper inside and out. The handle is copper too, I plan to build my own wooden extension handle with a longer hold and some sort of hook to be able to hang up high. The Copper is so thick and beautiful.

    My favorite saucepan for sugar

    This copper pot is great when boiling sugar and water to make a syrup. It came to temperature in half the time I spent trying to do so in a regular all clad tri-ply. I highly recommend this pot especially if you do a lot of sugar work.
