Yes, they come somewhat tarnished, but its copper!

The cute little pot is well made; however, after seeing many reviews, I started questioning my decision to purchase the pot. When it arrived, I was delighted with the overall quality. However, it was tarnished and "damaged," as many reviewers had stated and showed in their review pictures. In about 10 seconds, with some lemon juice and salt, it was as shiny as anyone would expect a copper Mauviel pot to be. It's perfect to replace my 1 cup measuring cup to melt butter on my gas stove. I'm so excited!!!

Great smsll pot!

Perfect! Great, small pot to warm butter or other uses. I've seen a few reviews of copper products like this arriving "damaged" due to blemishes in the copper finish. Mine arrived that way too. Guess what.... a little copper cleaner cleaned it right up and it now looks perfect. Apparently this is something to expect with copper kitchenware.

Came damaged and now a hassle.

The pot has blemishes on it and one large mark on the side, I will have to return it. Sucks because it took a long time to get. I ordered it online. I happen to stop by their store in San Ramon, i was told i could return it there but they did not carry the item...so order online again, hassle. The most irritating thing is there was NO damage to the box - so the marks didn't occur in shipping, that means THEY packed and sent the damaged product to me.

ORDERED TWICE AND BOTH CAME WITH DAMAGES AND FINALLY GAVE UP AND JUST ASKED FOR CREDIT. STORE PERSON IN SANTA BARBARA WERE I RETURNED NEVER EVEN SAID THEY WERE SORRY FOR OVER A MONTH OF TAKING BACK TO STORE AND SHOPPING TWICE!!!!!

Mauviel butter warmer

I just received this and it is definitely not 2mm thick. I would suspect 1.5mm at best. I own a set of 2mm Mauviel pots and pans, and this is no where close. I am very disappointed!

Poor quality

The pot was packaged well. Someone decided to put a pot with the copper damaged in a box and send it out.silver is showing all over the pot. Very disappointed with my first Mauviel purchase.

Do not buy this item

Got this as a gift. After waiting 6 months for it to arrive, it came damaged. I was able to return it, waited 2 months for the new one to arrive and it also came damaged. Copper pots are a show piece. Especially at the price of these things they need to be flawless. It's a shame because it is a good looking pot and set. Very sad that I will not only have this piece but will also not continue to collect the set. Also when I tried to return the second one online the order number was 14 digits and the form only always 12. Now I get to waste more time calling, figuring out the return, printing the return label, and finally taking it to UPS. THANKS WS!
