Very happy with my purchase
I upgraded to the Magimix Food Processor after using a smaller processor for a number of years. I've really enjoyed using this product! It is very easy to assembly, use, and clean. I love the different sized bowls and various attachments. I'm impressed with the ability to slice and shred veggies or a block of cheese with ease. I've made pesto, pizza dough, and peanut butter balls in a matter of minutes. I expect to enjoy using this machine for many years to come!

Delightfully functional and elegant
Having three functions in one appliance is spectacular. The ergonomics, the pwer and ease of use are outstanding. Grating disks provide longer, elegant cuts - no shards or nubs. Slicing disks work extremely precisely. Everything is easy to set up - no more crashing the handle to release the main bowl. After 35 years of compensating for not-quite-right, this is a joy.

Plastic Handle Is Not UV Light Stabilized
The machine is excellent. It’s a beast and I use it daily. The plastic handle on the BPA free bowl is NOT excellent. It is not UV light stabilized. So basically one gets a $400 machine the works … well … but ends up looking old and dingy, like a 70s Era Mr. Coffee coffeemaker, way before its time. This is too expensive to look this bad in 4 years.

Wouldn’t be without my Magimix
I own 2 Magimix 4200xl and highly recommend. One I’ve owned for 15+ years. Would be lost without them in 2 kitchens. Powerful 900+ watt motor, lots of accessories and great reliability. Used 3 cuisinarts over the years and no comparison re: quality and durability. Easily handles dough for 2 loaves of bread. Can run for 6 minutes to make super creamy hummus-no problem. Wash in top shelf of dishwasher. Worth every penny to me.

15+ years and still working amazingly well
I would agree with the reviewer who is in disbelief of the poor mark given by the individual whose plastic bowl broke during a move. Go to the Magimix Certified Replacement Parts site and order a new part. https://www.cuisineparts.com/index.html. We have had our Magimix from WS for over 15 years and it still works great. Our Magimix has gone through 4 moves with us. We use it frequently, have once replaced the bowl and are just now replacing the bowl cover because of cracks from heavy use. A new part is approx $50 but a good new food processor is at least several hundred dollars. The Magimix is a workhorse, operates extremely well and is a great investment. If ours ever dies, we'll purchase another for sure.

Wedding gift
This food processor was purchased as a wedding gift. I gave it to one daughter a few years ago and she loved it! Now I'm gifting one to my younger daughter. Because I have never used it, I can't give it a review!

IGNORE THE 1 STAR REVIEW ON THIS MAGIMIX 4200XL!!
I honestly can't believe the reviewer who rated this Magimix with one star because the bowl was cracked during a move because of poor packing!! I had a Magimix for years---THE BEST FOOD PROCESSOR ON THE MARKET--and it gave excellent results every time I used it and for whatever I used it for! I also moved last year and my packers/movers also screwed up and broke my magimix--so I am just now replacing it. YOU CAN'T RATE A PRODUCT ON MOVING EXPERIENCES!! You can make the most wonderful dips, sauces, salsas, mashed potatoes, mashed cauliflower potatoes, hummus, biscotti---anything--and it turns out like a chef made them!! I had the 5200XL but I don't need that capacity now, so I'm ordering the 4200xl from Williams Sonoma. I also need the spiralizer attachment (to do homemade noodles and vegetable noodles, etc) which only fits the 4200 and 5200---otherwise, I would have ordered the 3200. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS FOOD PROCESSOR---IT IS THE EQUIVALENT OF BUYING A VITAMIX OR BLENDTEC BLENDER---IT'S THE VERY BEST AND WILL LAST DECADES IF YOU TAKE CARE OF IT!! 3 DECADES GUARANTEED!!

In a sea of options, this is best
Silly thing of the week: I went down the rabbit hole for about six weeks trying to figure out A. If I could find replacement work bowls and lids for our 20 year old but magnificent Kitchenaid food processor (the plastic parts just wore out, but not the blades or 600 watt motor)- answer no; then B. What to get to replace it. It’s a tool I use almost everyday. I read countless professional and anecdotal reviews, price compared, watched videos, looked for recall announcements, etc. and fell in lust with industrial models (Big horsepower, all metal, but price point difference between lowest prosumer and highest consumer is about 1k!) Finally settled on the consumer level Magimix 4200xl, by the French company that created the food processor (and makes many of the top prosumer models), Robot Coupe. This plain but powerful tool has been around for a while, comes in 3200 (12 cup), 4200 (14 cup), and 5200 (16 cup) levels and the 14 cup is the most reliable. Free shipping (it weighs 28lbs) sealed it for me. The Kitchenaid was the best model for years when it came out (also made in France; but the new ones are made in China). The Magimix has 950 watts (1.2 horsepower) which can be a problem in some company models like the Breville (Too much power for the consumer plastic parts). I’m irrationally excited about it. The motor comes with a 30 year warranty! (That’s some bragging for a company) It should come today and I’m acting like a five year old at Xmas checking the email tracking everyday. Simple, powerful, well designed, useful. Another 20 years and I’ll be fine.

Powerful and Made in France
Got this 14 cup Magimix to replace my 12 cup 25 yr old old Cuisinart work horse. Love the power! Part of my decision to purchase this brand, rather than another Cuisinart, is the fact that it is made in France (not China!) and the Robot-Coupe brand has been used in the food service industry for a while. In terms of longevity, I'm concerned with the lack of heft to the plastic handle on the bowl--it just feels like it might have issues at some point. And, the feeder chamber doesn't slide on/off as smoothly as my Cuisinart. Hopefully these plastic parts will be available in future, should they go wrong. I purchased the white unit for my white kitchen and it looks great!
