A very nice blender.

I replaced my much loved 30+ year old Waring blender with the KitchenAid(R) 2023 Color of the Year K400 Hibiscus. I have used it for about a month. This blender is one of only a few blenders out there with a glass jar. The glass is thick, sturdy and hefty. It will last much longer than plastic. It will not get scratched or look filmy after a few times pulverizing nuts, rice, and ice. The glass jar of the Kitchen Aid can be washed in the bottom rack of the dishwasher, and the plastic top in the upper rack. (I always wash dishes using the fine china setting.) The base of the machine is hefty, so it doesn't move or vibrate when the blender is in use, even on the high settings. There are many speed settings as well as settings for crushing ice and a few other applications. The motor is very powerful and the blades are well designed, so smoothies come out very smooth and creamed soups come out very creamy. Just make sure that liquid is put into the jar before the solids are added, to reduce the chances that particulates get trapped underneath the blades. I haven't made crushed ice yet. The motor is very noisy though, but the blender isn't on for very long for the things I use the blender for. For me, that's an OK trade off.

Nice and comes with glass jar!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although its a bit bulky, it looks nice on the countertop. It is one of few blenders out there that comes with a glass jar. Smoothies come out great!

Planned Obsolescence

Very cute, looks lovely on my counter. Nice glass carafe. Heavy motor. However, the cheap plastic parts will break, rendering the blender useless. This blender has planned obsolescence written all over it.

Wonderful, sturdy blender!

I love this blender! I have had it for two years and has all the features I need. It is exactly what I have been trying to find for several years. And the color is absolutely beautiful!

Horrible

This is a horrible blender. It smells like it's on fire when using and the motor is loud. I gave 2 stars for the colour and the glass container.

Best of the 4 brands I have owned

I give it 5 star in all categories . The base is sturdy ,doesn't jump around while blending. I'm partial to glass containers. It smoothes all ingredients. My vitamix does not smooth out many different ingredients, canister is too big for the blades. I have had waring and cruisinart ones and they last about 2 years. I have bought 2 of these for 2 different homes and I will buy another when my present cruisinart one dies.

Glass pitcher!

Love the glass pitcher - it was the whole reason I bought this blender. Also like the simplicity of the controls and the pink color is fun.
