Summary
For more than 50 years, All-Clad has produced high-quality cookware that helps both home chefs and professionals create unforgettable meals. The company's new G5™ Graphite Core collection is its first one made with graphite. The pan's graphite core is even more conductive than copper but at a fraction of the weight, making G5™ easier to maneuver in the kitchen. Graphite preheats quickly with no hot spots for uniform browning and searing while cooling rapidly for fast, easy cleanup. The innovative construction also includes aluminum and stainless steel for lightweight convenience. This versatile fry pan has a broad surface that's ideal for frying and sautéing, plus gently sloping sides that simplify turning and removing food.

A miss by All Clad
After waiting 7 months to come back in stock Williams Sonoma was unable to upgrade to overnight shipping. Worse when I got the frying pan it has these ghostly white spots on the lid. I would not recommend. They would not remove with either Bar Keepers Friend or vinegar.

DELAYS of NEARLY THREE MONTHS !
I bought this brought around Xmas time 2024, and the delivery date was by 1/14/25, so I was willing to wait 3 weeks for it, which was already a huge delay. I trusted Williams Sonoma's professionalism and thus that they had control over the inventory. Well, only two days before the latest delivery date above, I got a message saying that the product would be delayed until end February, another 6 weeks, for a total of nearly 3 months! This is actually total mismanagement and disrespect with the customer. Williams Sonoma should give customers affected a $50 discount (not "gift certificate" or credit but a discount) for its mismanagement of their own inventory. Truly disappointed.

Game changer
Go-to fry pan with fast even heating on induction that is surprisingly light for easy pouring and cleanup. All-Clad quality and lifetime guarantee. No PTFE toxins. Bottom discolors a bit with cooking like all stainless steel, no biggie. What's not to like?

Exceeded my expectations!
This was my first stainless steel fry pan and I was concerned that food would stick and the pan would be hard to clean. So far, nothing has stuck, and cleaning it has been a breeze. There was a bit of a learning curve switching from using nonstick pans. I watched videos and read instructions at the All-Clad website which were insightful and helpful.

All - Clad G5 with improved handle
This is a great pan, heats and cooks perfectly. The only issue for me is that it is a bit large for an average 4 burner stove (the extension handle does not help) and depending on what you are cooking it's a bit shallow when using the lid. The pan is only 30 days old I do not have any cooked on grease issues yet - I hope it will be easy to clean.

Good pans
Like this set of pans, really light, heats evenly, cooks at lower temperatures but need to keep bar keepers friend handy.

Excellent cookware. 100% recommend
So, I am an engineer, so I like empirical data, meaning, I like to get test results and make my decision based on results. I bought multi layer pans from Demeyer, Alclad, Greenpan, and a few others. I bought their highest end pans to test, like Demeyer Atlantis. What I found is that this graphite tech makes the others totally obsolete. These pans transfer nearly all the heat, nearly instantly. They sear fantastically well. The pan gets so hot that the Medium setting on my stove is the new High setting. The pans are extremely light which is a trait you begin to notice and love immediately, especially if you use a traditional 5 layer stainless pan at the same time. The heavy pans feel like "why?" I am doing the carnivore style of eating so I cook a lot of various meats and seafoods daily. This pan is 100% my go to daily driver. It Pre-heats in seconds, it is light, it makes the best sear on proteins I have every seen, and it seems indestructible. The whole "you need a lot of mass to retain heat for a good sear" is an obsolete concept with these graphite pans. The heat transfers so well that the stove has no problem keeping up with heat transfer into a large piece of chilly meat. They also react very fast to heat adjustments. If the pan looks a little hot, turn down the heat and the adjustment is seen in seconds. Not enough heat? Turn it up a bit and you will see immediate increase

Compromised QA @ All-Clad
Ordered 26 Feb 24 I received (9 Mar 24) the All-Clad G5 12.5" fry pan & though my criticism is not a material defect; it is unacceptable (considering the brand & price per unit) that his item was shipped out from All-Clad. When it arrived, the 'helper-handle' was incredibly scratched (picture was the best I could provide) . . . it gives the appearances of being a used handle as there are no other scratches on the pan. That being said, during this same time period, I had ordered a 10 pieces all-clad cookware set from 'Made-In'. This 10 piece set was mailed/received in the same packaging & there was not a single scratch on any piece of this Made-In collection. My complaint isn't a material defect (hence why I didn't return it); however, considering the brand & cost . . . this level of QA is entirely unacceptable. Such that I'll be disinclined to purchase All-Clad products in the future.
