Outstanding!

Very quiet and efficient. Looks and performs very well. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful to look at, not so great to use.

Like all Aarke products, the esthetics of the grinder are unmatched. It's a beautiful piece of equipment, especially sitting next to its companion coffee maker. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. It jams and jams a lot. It jams 75% of the time. Then you need to unscrew the hopper, push down on the button to clear the beans, reattach and push it again to finish. If you want to completely fill the hopper then it jams 100% of the time. I love the way it knows exactly how much coffee to grind based on the water level in the coffee maker but the positives are vastly ourweighed by how temperamental it is. Really a shame, especially given how amazing their other products are.

After only several grinds it seems it has froze up.

Aarke Coffee Grinder

I corresponded with the Aarke factory people because the exit chute for the coffee was jamming up. Turns out there is a finger guard inside the chute that was retaining ground coffee and causing the jam. Once I removed it, the included brush fits in the chamber and keeps it clean. I had a Fellow conical burr grinder, but the grinder assembly broke off after a few uses. Williams Sonoma gave me a full refund which I used to purchase the Aarke grinder. I have a Kitchen Aid grinder, but it wore out. I liked the simplicity of the Kitchen Aid (it has a on/off toggle switch). The Aarke works well and shuts off automatically but is a bit noisy, but not as bad as the Kitchen Aid. I like to use different varieties of coffee, so I don't take advantage of the cup settings. All the interior parts are supposed to be metal. I would like to get a parts diagram, but it's not available. There is no phone number to call customer support but they respond to emails, usually within a couple of days.

Don't give up on this grinder!

I love this grinder but also experienced the frustration of it jamming after a few uses. I keep a slender brush (used to clean straws) nearby to clean out the "nose" where the grounds exit. This has been working really well, and doesn't need to be done with every use. I run the brush up each side of the snout several times and the grounds drop into the cup. The design of this grinder is so gorgeous and I love that all the components are stainless or glass (small bit of plastic where the beans drop in). I'd been searching forever for any burr grinder that didn't use so much plastic and this is was it. The grind is fantastic, it didn't take long to find an ideal setting, and the coffee flavor is divine.

Doesn’t work

Horrible machine. We returned two in two weeks. It jams and doesn’t work. The manufacturer won’t return email requests for assurance. A huge rip off. Do not buy this lemon.

Pretty but not recommended

It's pretty but it gets clogged almost every time.

Aarke Coffee Grinder

Very quiet and it grinds beans to perfection. It also connects to the coffee pot to know how much to grind based on the water in the pot.

Will be returning

This was a Christmas gift to ourselves . Unpacked it, read the instructions, plugged it in and the grinder didn’t work . Followed all the troubleshooting tips and still nothing. Will be returning this item. Big disappointment!
