    Awesome wok

    I bought the wok for my wife to Replace and old wok. The Breville is outstanding

    Give it a try!!

    At first I was leery of buying a single purpose appliance. I was wrong. The wok IS heavy so I can’t put it the storage area and it takes up room on the counter. It cooks like a dream, cleans up easily, and I don’t have to clean the stove top! It is my go to pan.

    I’ve owned electric woks over 40 years. After my second one stopped heating properly I researched and the Breville got my vote. I’ve never had one as great as this one!

    The only Wok I want

    This was the first time I had ever used a Wok, and because my stove-top is glass, I opted for an electric model. I chose the BrevilIe over other similarly high-rated Woks simply because I was familiar with the Breville brand and had used other Breville appliances with excellent results. I was surprised and pleased to see how easy it is to disassemble the Wok for cleaning, and equally easy to put it back together. I have seen some negative remarks about the 12+ pound weight of the Wok & base, but I felt from the start that it added to the overall sturdiness of the unit and definitely added to my feeling of confidence as I used it. I like the ease of removing the temperature probe, especially when I want a very quick switchover from making my fried rice to setting up for the protein course. I was also surprised over the ease of stir-frying with no fear of scorching or otherwise overcooking the food. The only downside is not having actual degrees noted on the temperature probe dial. I am getting used to it, but find I am more comfortable making notes of which numbers resulted in the cooking level I wanted to achieve. I was fairly certain that it would be a quality item since I had a bit of a search before I found someone who actually had it in stock! I consider myself to be an experimental cook in that even though I am not the most proficient cook, I am also not afraid to try something new; and a Wok of this quality increases my incentive and confidence of success. I would definitely recommend this Wok.

    Works well for fried rice. A little difficult to detach and attach bowl after using.
