Use & Care
Use
- To keep board in optimal condition, apply food-safe mineral oil twice per month.
- Allow oil to be absorbed for at least 6 hours. For best results, leave on overnight.
- After oil has been absorbed, wipe off any excess using clean, dry cloth.
- Avoid contact with cooking oils such as olive oil and canola oil.
Care
- Hand-wash with hot, soapy water.
- Dry thoroughly.
- Do not soak or submerge in water.
- Do not clean in dishwasher.
- Periodically rub with food-safe mineral oil to keep wood from drying out.
- Dry completely before storing.

Teak Carving board

Received carving board about 3 weeks ago. It has a strong odor that I think is chemical-based. Somewhat disconcerting and doesn't seem normal.

Cutting board review

The board cracked after three months of using it, even though I took good care of it, I never got it wet, I used good quality board oil. Williams Sonoma will not do anything to replace it or help. Do not buy this!

Don’t buy this!

I took good care of the board, never let it get wet, I used board oil regularly. And within four months, the board cracked down the middle, And Williams Sonoma will not give a replacement or any consideration for the poor workmanship. I would not buy this again.

Do not waste money & personalize, not as pictured

Personalization not as pictured, 1 inch x 1 inch initial, much larger in picture online. Originally ordered in December. Upon making contact with William Sonoma was told someone from the company would be reaching out regarding resending a new board. Never received a call, contacted William Sonoma a second time and was told by the agent that the item is on backorder now. Requested to know if the item would be automatically sent and was told by the agent to call back around March 19th to verify. Not feeling confident about WS customer service at this point.

Perfect gift!

Bought this as a gift- it is more beautiful in person than in the photos. Is sturdy- used almost daily and holds up with basic care. Well worth the price as I expect it to last for years!

Exquisite Craftmanship and Quality

A gorgeous and well-made piece of kitchen art added to my unique cutting board collection! I will probably only ever use it for display and serving board as I could not bear to 'cut' into the surface. The colors and patterns are rich and intricate, and it has a nice weight to it. It is also beautiful on both sides, with no groove on the reverse, if you were wondering. I have the WS board lotion and cream to keep it looking top-notch. Highly Recommend!
