    Use & Care

    Use

    • Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
    • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal or glass.
    • It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.

    Care

    • Hand-wash with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse and dry immediately.
    • Maintain knife's cutting edge by regularly using honing steel.
    • Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing, your knife should not need sharpening more than once or twice a year.
    • Sharpen knife at home using whetstone or knife sharpener, or have it sharpened by a professional.
    • Store knife in safe place to protect edge and prevent injury.

A Knife Snapped into Two Pieces

So I thought I got a very high quality set of knives here since I paid over 2K and it's from Williams Sonoma, but apparently not. I had the knives for 3 months and a knife literally snapped into two while I was cutting a BAGEL, yes a BAGEL. See my pics. I have been having a alot of issues with William Sonoma orders lately. Maybe not as good as they use to be. I am wating to how they handle this problem.

DO NOT BUY IF NEED QUICKLY

Ordering knife sets from this site has been challenging. For example, I ordered this exact item on Nov 11th. The delivery date kept changing to different dates in December and January. Just got off a call with customer service and was told there is no stock available until March 13, 2021 - 4 months from when I first placed the order. Yet, as of today (December 29, 2020 at 11:53AM EST) the website is trying to sell the same set with “Fast Free Shipping” that won’t be available until March. This is just wrong and misleading.

    Gave it as a gift

I love Wusthof Classic Ikon knives, and have several myself. I cook a lot, and wanted to give them as a gift because of the great experience I have had with them.
