    Summary

Handcrafted in Japan, the Shun Premier Blonde collection is distinguished by hammered blades that evoke the artistry of traditional hand-forged knives, and light-hued PakkaWood handles that provide a modern look. This utility knife features a versatile length that excels at a wide range of prep tasks, from trimming fresh produce to slicing meat, fish and cheese.

    • Blade features core of extremely hard VG-MAX "super steel" clad on each side with 34 microthin layers of stainless steel.
    • Striking hammered finish (tsuchime in Japanese) reduces drag when cutting and helps quickly release food from blade.
    • Blonde-finished PakkaWood handle has two-position design, providing trigger grip for pull cuts and perfect balance point for pinch grip.
    • Stainless-steel end cap embossed with Shun logo adds stability, strength and wide weight distribution from end to end.
    • Handcrafted in Japan.

    Use & Care

    Use

    • Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
    • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal and glass.
    • It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.

    Care

    • Hand-wash with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse and dry immediately.
    • Avoid cleaners containing bleach and citrus extracts.
    • Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing once a week, knife should not need sharpening more than once or twice a year.
    • Sharpen knife at home using whetstone or sharpener designed to sharpen at 16-degree angle, or have it sharpened by a professional.
    • Store knife in safe place to protect edge and prevent injury.

    Awesome knife

If I’m going to cut something smaller than what I use my santoku for this is my go to knife.

    Amazing knife

I have been working in kitchens for a few years now and I finally decided to get my first "real" knife. This knife is no amazing and is insanely light weight and makes long prep hours effortless.
