    Use & Care

    Copper Cookware

    Use

    • Ideal for gas and electric cooktops (not induction-compatible).
    • Oven safe to 450°F.
    • To protect tin lining from damage, do not heat pot empty or at temperatures above 450°F.
    • Use wood, plastic or heat-resistant nylon tools to avoid scratching tin lining.

    Care

    • Allow pans to cool before washing.
    • Hand-wash; dry immediately with soft cloth.
    • Avoid using steel wool, steel scouring pads and harsh detergents.
    • Copper will develop rich patina over time. This will not affect pan's cooking performance. To keep exterior looking new, use copper polish or combination of lemon and salt.
    • Tin lining protects food from reacting with copper but will become discolored over time. This is normal. Depending on frequency of use and types of food cooked, tin lining may eventually need to be replaced. To prolong lining's usefulness, avoid cooking acidic ingredients in tin-lined cookware.

    Olivewood Tools

    Care

    • Avoid direct exposure to intense heat and sunlight.
    • Hand-wash with warm, soapy water and let dry in vertical position. This will allow water to evaporate fully and prevent appearance of mold.
    • As wood is naturally porous, avoid soaking. Do not use chemical detergents and do not clean in dishwasher.
    • For deep clean, rub olivewood with coarse salt and lemon. Alternatively, use soft sponge with sodium bicarbonate and lemon juice. Always rinse with warm water and let dry fully before storing.
    • Periodically coat olivewood tools with small amount of food-grade mineral oil, rubbing gently with soft cloth. Do not use vegetable or olive oils.
    • Color and pattern variations are characteristic of natural wood and are not manufacturing defects.

    Defected Sauce Pan Be Aware

Purchased this set. One of the sauce pan is defected, others are fine, but Ruffoni refused replacement and said it is normal oxided issue. But after one cook? I always recycled all boxes, impossible to return back to William Sonoma. I know it’s not William Sonoma’s responsibility. Worst experience ever.

Beautiful and good price but not for everyone

since the copper is only 1 - 1.5mm thickness, heat distribution is not much better than regular stainless steel+aluminum clad cookware but the heat responsiveness might be able to make it up for it depends on preference. Being tin-lined limited the ability to cook on high heat and metal utensils can damage the tin coating, making these very high maintenance but the price is quite better than other copper brands at the same thickness plus the beautiful hammering and carving add values to the pieces. Recommended with reservations due to few but important limitations in performance. 5 stars because at this price point it's hard to beat for copper with this level of craftsmanship

    Stunning!

While this set is rather pricey, it is worth it! They are so beautiful and work as fall/winter decor when not in use. The details are stunning! I haven't had any issues with them so far and I've had them for 3 months. It is important to remember to not use any super acidic foods in these in order to prevent corrosion though. I have found that it has been fairly easy to clean whenever corrosion starts to form.

    Stunning 🤩

My husband gifted this to me since I love to cook. They are so beautiful to look at & cook on. The food just slides around so beautifully, I have not experienced any sticking. So far I’ve made an Italian pasta & made my sauce from Roma tomatoes 🍅 I’ve made lemon chicken piccata, our thanksgiving meal & breakfast ( I was afraid about it being too acidic on the pans) I cook almost everything on super low heat as these pots heat up rather quickly. I am a little concerned about cooking acidic foods because it can tarnish the lining of the pot or pan. However I’m going to be cautious with ph levels of food, regardless of it all, I truly enjoy using them & wooden spatulas. It does take some getting used to. I recommend this for someone who’s advanced in their cooking skill's.
