Similar in color and shape to oranges, kumquats are a smaller fruit with a thick, fragrant and edible peel that's more flavorful than the pulp inside. Grown by Alder & Oak, this Fukushu kumquat tree's round leaves and elongated fruit give it an ornamental appearance, whether placed indoors or outdoors. The two- to three-year-old tree arrives in a plastic grow pot ready to be placed in the ideal location.

Use & Care
Care
- Upon receipt, gently remove tree from box, place in sunny location and water thoroughly.
- Can be grown indoors or outdoors and should be transplanted into a larger container within 3 months of receipt. If grown outdoors, bring tree inside during winter months and place near a sunny window, avoiding drafts.
- Water as needed, do not allow soil to dry out. Avoid overwatering.
- Needs full sun.
- Plant in organically rich soil with good drainage and in location protected from wind.
- May be planted in ground or in a pot twice the size of the root ball.
- Add citrus fertilizer during fall, winter and spring.
- Prune to desired shape and size.
- With proper care, this tree will live for 30 years or more.
