Use & Care
Care
- Place in indirect light or partial shade from spring through fall, and in bright indirect light during winter.
- Rotate the plant periodically to ensure even light exposure, as it grows toward light.
- Protect from drafts and direct cold.
- Keep soil moist with regular watering; do not allow soil to dry out. Water at least once a week during warmer months.
- Do not leave in standing water or allow soil to become soggy; overwatering can cause the lower leaves to fall off or die.
- If variegated leaves begin to turn solid green, plant is likely getting too much direct sunlight; move to a different location with indirect light.
- Fertilize monthly with diluted balanced fertilizer.
- Transplant to a larger pot annually, or when roots grow through the drainage holes.
- Toxic if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
