Use & Care
Use
- Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
- Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal or glass.
- It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone or frozen food, as the blade can be easily damaged.
Care
- Hand-wash with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse and dry immediately.
- Use the honing steel only when you feel the knife has lost some of its original sharpness, usually no sooner than six months after its first use. As you continue to use your Cuisinart knife, it will require more frequent honing. If you need to hone your knife more than once every two weeks, it is time to have it sharpened.
- Sharpen your knife at home using a whetstone or knife sharpener, or have it sharpened by a professional.
- Store in safe place to protect edges and prevent injury.

Unsatisfied for longevity and care suggestions

If you can realistically hand wash the knives then you might be okay getting this set. However most people that have dishwashers will throw them in to get cleaned and after 2 years of hand washing we started putting them in the dish washer and i immediately saw yellowing on the handles because of the white color we are unpleased and the plastic handle itself has cracked or broken off completely. I’ve heard people having kitchen knives last decades I guess quality is just not there anymore.

Triple Rivet 15 Piece Knife Block Set

Overall great product especially for the cost. Only negative is that the steak knives the metal does not go into the handle making them lighter, not as balanced and cheap feeling. All the other knives have the metal going into the handle and just feel better quality. Thanks

Happy so far.

So far this new set that replaced my old set due to the old set on the steak knives had the saw tooth type teeth. They are terrible and will not buy them again. Returned them under warranty and bought this set with the steak knives being the smooth blade. They are so much better. When you are paying this much money for a set of knives they should cut thru anything.
