Use & Care
Use
- Board should be seasoned with a food-grade mineral oil before first use.
- To season the board properly, warm the mineral oil slightly and apply it in the direction of the wood grain using a clean, dry cloth. Allow the oil to soak in and repeat with another application. Allow the board to dry and wipe off any excess oil.
Care
- Hand wash with hot, soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
- Do not soak or submerge board in water.
- Occasionally rub with a food-safe mineral oil to keep wood from drying out.
- To sanitize, wash the board with a solution of one part vinegar to five parts water.
- Remove odors by rubbing the board with kosher or table salt and half a lemon. Let sit for 2 to 3 minutes then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Remove excess moisture with a clean paper towel and stand the board on end to air dry.
- Store in a dry area away from extreme temperatures.

Happy birthday for happy prepping!

What is not to like??? This was a birthday gift for my daughter. She asked for a cutting board and was more than happy when she saw it. This is perfect, just perfect, is what she said and rightly so.

Love my large Boos cutting board!

I love my new Boos cutting board. I recently learned how important it is to avoid ingesting plastic particles by changing from plastic cutting boards to hard wood cutting boards. I love the natural wood and the large size! At first I thought I made a mistake and should have ordered a smaller board, but I can chop everything I need and move it to each corner. I’m so glad I have the large size!

The cutting board is great. It is sturdy, doesn’t move. It feels safe. However, it is rather heavy.

This is a beautiful cutting board with a nice deep well and the carved in handles on the side are a bonus. Once oiled and treated with a board butter it has a rich color.

Warped and Split within 2 months.

So sorry I spent this money on this board. I already need to replace it within two months as it's horribly warped and already has a deep split in it. I expected more from Williams Sonoma.

Split in just over a year

I was initially very pleased with the function of the board. Unfortunately, it split along the glue lines a little after a year and became warped so it would wobble when cutting despite moisturizing weekly with the Boos mystery oil and board cream. Because, it was over a year the company will not repair or replace it. They suggested patching the crack with paraffin and mineral oil. The split is so large I don’t believe this will be effective. The cost of the product is too high to have to replace it yearly.

Split in first 60 days

We received this for Christmas as a gift and loved it. Looks beautiful and feels high quality. However in mid-Feb 2021 we noticed the wood beginning to split. We immediately contacted Williams-Sonoma and attempted to exchange it or get it repaired and they were NO help at all. They stated it’s past the return policy and there’s nothing they could do. I won’t be shopping at WS again.

Beautiful board but already split

I loved this board when I got it, and bought the Boos mystery oil and board cream to take care of it. However, it is already starting to split lengthwise after not even 2 months of use and following all the care instructions. Very disappointed for the price paid.
