- Included tea basket and scoop are dishwasher safe.
- Wipe base clean with a damp cloth.
- Do not brew empty or allow to boil dry.
Care
- To avoid staining the glass kettle, empty it after each use. Do not allow brewed tea to stand in the kettle for extended periods of time.
- To remove stains from glass kettle, fill it with 1½ qt. water. Add the juice of one lemon, as well as the lemon, and boil. Allow the water to cool, then scrub with a soft, nonmetallic bristle brush.

Smoothest cup of tea available

The product options for making tea by pre-setting water temperature and steep time are now exceedingly few. I recently spent half this cost on other tea kettles but ultimately caved to paying the exorbitant price for a Breville. I yearned for the smooth taste of black tea I can never get from a tea bag in a cup of hot water. I was spoiled by years of using the Brewista Tea Kettle no longer available. The Beville Tea Maker makes a great cup of tea. The tea basket lowers and raises according to the preset timer. The water temperature is selected by type of tea being used. However. The carafe is heavy and the tea fill line is difficult to read. I think the weight of a filled carafe would be prohibitive for those who find a gallon of milk hard to lift. Also, the location of the fill line is behind the handle. Stooping to ensure getting the correct amount of water might not be easy for those with vision or mobility concerns. Not a fan of the keep warm feature, although the timer counts down how long since the tea cycle finished. It is certainly a reflection of my need for delicious caffeine in the mornings, that I spent this much to have a tea kettle. Compared to other manufacturers’ products out there in 2025, I recommend this tea maker.

Great features

I received my first Tea Maker for Christmas in 2012. I used it almost daily and love all the features as I make black, green and herbal teas. I burnt out the element a month ago (heating up some berry pulp, a no-no) so I had to order a new one. Using it as directed it may have lasted another 13 years! This replacement sparkles more than my original and is holding up well so far!

I love this kettle! The temperature control is a great feature. I don’t just use it for tea, but also for oatmeal, dissolving yeast, any warm/hot water needs. 10 years old and it gets used everyday.

I love my Breville Tea Maker - 3 years and going strong!

This workhorse has really helped us get going in the morning. It has never failed us! Smooth, flavorful tea every day with the opportunity to goose it a bit in the afternoon to warm it through again (again, no bitterness). It's magic, and I'm so happy I found it! I would even buy another if they came in colors (come on white!)
