    Use & Care

    Use

    • Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
    • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal or glass.
    • It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.

    Care

    • Hand-wash with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse and dry immediately.
    • Maintain the knife's cutting edge by regularly using a honing steel.
    • Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing, your knife should not need sharpening more than once or twice a year.
    • Sharpen knife at home using a whetstone or knife sharpener, or have it sharpened by a professional.
    • Store knife in a safe place to protect its edge and prevent injury.

    Having only purchased knife sets from box stores in the past and being disappointed, this new classic set is an incredible change for me. They feel good and are incredibly sharp

    Disappointment

    I don't understand. This is a 5 Star product, and so many reviews say they are super sharp, but that wasn't my experience. I want to be able to dice through a tomato without having to slice back and forth. I want to quickly dice, and I can't do that with these knives. Maybe I got a bum set. I got the white knives and they look gorgeous, but unfortunately for $1000.00 knives, they better SLICE like butter, and these just don't. I really wanted to love them because they're so aesthetically pleasing. I'm disappointed I had to return them. I gave 3 stars just for the aesthetics.

    Excellent knives, deep block

    These knives are excellent! My husband and I bought them for ourselves for our 10th anniversary, and we were able to try them out in our local store (customer service was excellent there, helpful and very patient with us). These cut so smoothly, almost effortlessly, they are worth the price. Removing stems from small campari tomatoes is a breeze with the paring knife, and the santoku has been great for slicing tomatoes and onions paper thin, and mincing fresh garlic. The chef's knife made quick, and easy, work of the cabbage stem in March, as well as roast chicken. The bread knife literally left almost no crumbs when slicing challah bread for french toast. The only problem we had is that the block is very deep, much deeper than we are used to, so I had to reorganize my counter around it.

    Razor Sharp!

    Replaced a Chicago Cutlery set that we had for 18 years. These are sharper that the C C set ever was. Able to slice paper thin tomato with ease!

    Quality Knife Set

    This Wustoff Classic 12 piece knife set is everything you could ask for. Made of high quality forged metal (rather than stamped metal) makes for the perfect fit and feel in the chefs hand. These are made in Germany (not China), as each knife has this note on it. Would definitely recommend & excited to use for many years to come!

    I have been eyeing these knives for over a year

    I have been waiting for over a year to get these knives. I spent close to $700.00 on these and two extra Wusthoff knives to add to the set of twelve. It was worth the wait as I use them daily for my food preparation. The steak knives are excellent it would be a touch of class if some high end restaurants would include them when a steak knife is called for. I just feel good knowing they are a part of my kitchen I have no regrets. I intend to add the 6" chef's to the set.
