Use & Care

Use
- Do not heat empty or allow pot to boil dry.
Care
- Wipe exterior clean with a damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh detergents, abrasive cleansers, steel wool or steel scouring pads.
- De-scale kettle as often as needed using a store-bought de-scaling solution or a solution of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water. Boil and allow to stand overnight. Discard solution and refill with water. Boil and discard. Repeat.
- To clean scale deposits from filter, remove filter and wash under hot running water. Rub with a clean cloth or brush.

I love this kettle!

This is my 2nd one. I love my first one until there was a contact issue between the kettle and the base after using it for over 4 years. Having said that, we use our kettle 10 times a day at least. We drink a lot of tea every day and also use it to boil water if we need hot water for cooking. So.. maybe more than 10 times a day. We probably overworked it.

Great kettle. Nice design!

This is a great kettle. I like it that the handle does not have attachment bolts below the water line. Heats water quickly and has both tea/coffee types and temps on the buttons to guide which setting to use. Heats water quickly. I'm watching for a Labor Day sale in hopes of buying one for my camper.

Off to a good start

Really like this kettle. It heats the water and beeps gently when the water is hot and turns off. You can set it to keep the water warm for a little longer. Nice looking. Easy to maintain. Excellent choice

Defective Interior

I purchased this product from Wm Sonoma and after using it for only a week has scale like markings all over interior bottom. when I wanted to return the product to Wm Sonoma for a replacement, I was told I had to deal with Breville direct!!! this was not indicated anywhere when I purchased it. After much ado, got in touch with Breville who sent me descaling solution. I used it and the marks disappeared but REAPPEARED after only 2 more uses. I do not have hard water. I am very displeased and uncomfortable using the product but apparently I cannot simply get a replacement which is all I was asking for. Very disappointed in Wm Sonoma management of this.

I own two Breville tea makers....one for my kitchen and one in the lower level where guests tend to stay. Love them both!

Love it!

I purchased this primarily for making pour over coffee. I have yet to use it for that, but i still have used it almost daily. I love the preset temperatures and the keep warm function. If i am making something that requires boiling water, i find that it is faster to use this than to boil it on the stove. It is very sleek and nice looking and does not take up much counter space. My one very small complaint is that it is a little hard to see the water level.

Great kettle

This is my second purchase of this Breville kettle. I accidentally dropped and broke the glass window on the original one - it was about 12-15 years old. This kettle does everything I need, heats up water very quickly to the desired temp and can hold it for about 20-30 minutes. and you can take it off the base to set it on the table if needed. It looks great on the countertop so I can leave it out, as I use it daily. It's easy to clean. I highly recommend it.
