NO CENTER HEATING ELEMENT!

There are no heating coils in the center for either slot so you cannot put in a long slice of sourdough which was the whole point of purchasing this toaster. I wish someone at the store had known this. It's too late to return and now I have a toaster that can only toast if you slice your sourdough into two pieces. TERRIBLE!

Worst ever

This is the worst toaster I've ever had! It doesn't toast evenly, the edges are always burnt while the middle is not toasted at all. I would have expected better than this from Breville!

Worst Toaster Ever

I have previously owned (purchased from your store) a cuisinart toaster - loved it and had it 19 years. I came back to your store for a new toaster. This is the worst toaster ever. It includes the feature of "frozen" and "bagel" - ok. To make toast for one person you have to cycle it twice...? When you make toast for one person - both elements engage. Directions are very vague. I do not like this toaster - at all. Please tell me I can bring it back and purchase something other than Breville.

Happy with the toaster and the company!

I ordered directly from the company website. The service was very fast and I received the toaster within a few days. I had been using my air fryer/oven as a toaster and it was slow and inconsistent. Since getting this toaster, We have used it almost daily for toast and bagels. It’s easy to use, and easy to monitor the progress as it toasts. Highly recommended.

We did not receive this. UPS has investigated possible theft from our porch, though a picture was taken and we have a camera doorbell.

Would love it if didn't keep breaking...

I have had two of these toasters. When it works, I love it - its sleek look, 4-slice capacity (which is wonderful for longer pieces of bread), the evenness of the toasting. However, the latching mechanism for the lever appears to be cheaply made. Despite careful use, the lever on both toasters ended up malfunctioning after a few years. This is greatly disappointing for a Breville product, for which quality is expected. We have multiple other Breville products in our kitchen and have never had such issues (all our other products have endured the test of time). I was also disappointed with the response from customer care, who simply offered me a 25% discount on a regular priced toaster, which is the same discount offered online at the moment.

SHOULD YOU BUY THIS TOASTER?

This toaster does a very good job with bread and bagels, even a very good job with frozen bread and bagels. I should know I have had three. All bought at Williams-Sonoma. The reason for two stars is because the toaster lasts for about eighteen months before becoming unusable. The latest problem is electrical, and the result is that the toaster burns bread no matter what the setting. It also sparks when unplugged. Which it never did and which the replacement, and older Cuisinart toaster, does not do. So, plus and minus for the Breville 'Bit More toaster. I should add that it is difficult to reach Breville for help, they promise to "call back" but seem to forget to do so.
