Not as expected

I bought this around a year ago and noticed these white spots would come after cleaning. Also is difficult to clean throughly. Often time times did not heat completely. Am tossing it

Avoiding Forever Chemicals

After purchasing this item, we learned that it is coated with PFAs (forever chemicals). We will be returning it.

Peeled off after 3 uses, horrible customer service

I had high hopes. I used this only 3 times in the first two months I got it. The pot had tiny white flecks that looked like the nonstick was bubbling and peeling off. I never used it to the hottest setting and never used anything to touch the bottom of the pot. Decided it was NOT SAFE to continue using and eating. William Sonoma REFUSED to provide me with a replacement or money back even though it’s so faulty and dangerous. Threw the pot away, maybe I’ll use the griddle part.

Poor quality

I purchased this skillet about one year ago, did not use it often, stopped working already. I contacted the company ad was told that manufacture warranty is only 30 days. If their quality is good only 30 days for small kitchen appliances I paid $100.00 just one year ago. I will never buy William and Sonoma product. Just be aware of this.

IT’S OK

Product is ok. It does its job. I really dislike the smell when it’s heating especially when it’s on High Heat. Smells like a plastic burning all the time. It can be very nauseating. I probably won’t use it again.

I am obsessed with Hot pot!

I love eating hot pot and was super excited to test this product. I eat hot pot at least once a week at home and this pot is perfect!! This unit is quick hearing at 1000 watt and doesn't take long to begin boiling. I love the size of this too! It is not too big and not too small. I live in a townhouse and this is a good size for at least 5 people. I also love that it is so versatile. It is constructed with die-cast grilling plate with non-stick coating so that you can grill meats and seafood as well. And it also includes a steaming tray if you want to steam food as well. The most important part is that it is super easy to clean. The cooking pot is removable and the non-stick coated grill plate definitely helps for easy clean up. Nice addition for date nights!

I received this product complimentary from Cohley in exchange for my honest review. This is a very well-constructed hot pot and I like that it comes with a meat grill so one can also do Korean BBQ on it! It's quite straightfoward to use and I'll be using it for upcoming date nights. Only con I'd have is that the hot pot is quite a lot smaller than anticipated. It's supposed to act as a hotpot for 2-4 people, but to me it's much better suited to act as a personal shabu shabu pot or used for 2 people max as a potential main or side dish with other foods supplementing it. It could very well be because I'm an Asian American that's used to eating a lot of hot pot, but usually a pot for 4 people I'm used to is much bigger and ideally would have a dividing line in the middle of the bowl to allow for two different types of broths. That being said, I still think this is a great hot pot I'll be using and came just in time for the coming winter!

Simple Yet Effective

received the Open Kitchen Hot Pot by Williams Sonoma in exchange for my honest review. I used my Hot Pot to make two small meals (soups). I love how compact the Hot Pot is and how easy it is to clean. I live in a small apartment so countertop space is in short supply. Something else I liked about the product was how easy it is to clean, I am hopeful that over time the nonstick coating holds up. The product contains two cooking tops, a flat bowl, and a grill style top. My only complaint about this product is that it is so small. Making soup in the Hot Pot is ash but it will only make two servings. I think it would be nice if they came out will a small, medium, and large style cooking too so you could use the one you needed. I recipe book would also be cool, nothing fancy, but a pamphlet of recipes to get you started and comfortable with the product. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and am excited to use it more.

Can I say how I’m obsessed with this hot pot? It is truly amazing. The hot pot is very compact and has cool touch side handles, tempered glass lid and power light for added safety. I really appreciate that, as I’ve had my fair share of accidents before with other products. It is a fantastic addition to my kitchen! My favorite part? How EASY it is to clean it. Perfect to cook the holiday favorites such as ramen! It also includes a steaming tray to steam delicate foods. I am definitely gifting hot pots to my family members this Christmas. Perfect for the cold season!

The Williams Sonoma hotpot has a really nice sleek look. What I really love about it is the versatility of it's use and how easy it is to clean. You can use it for hotpot/grilling/steaming all in one, just swap the parts inside and when you're done, take it out and wash. It's light and compact, all the parts are stackable so it doesn't take much room for storage. I'd say it's a good size pot for a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids.
