Great machine
We like it so far, we've had to do some extra research beyond what's included in the instructions to perfect the process and get consistent results, but we're getting the hang of it and the machine makes great yogurt!

Do more research before purchasing this product
The functions are limited and the instructions are vague. There are far better products for the same price point available. I should have taken more time to search for alternatives.

Totally worth it!
Delicious homemade yogurt is super easy to make with this machine. I now make my own yogurt 3 times a week, using the previous batch as the starter. I opt to make in a Pyrex 6 qt dish, rather than the individual small containers. While I am drinking my morning coffee, I measure 42 oz of low fat milk (2%) into a medium size pan, set on very low temp/simmer, and wait about 40 min until the temp reaches 180 degrees. Then I remove from the heat and set aside on counter to cool to 105-95 degrees - maybe about another 30-40 minutes. Then I take 3 tsp of yogurt from previous batch, add 1 cup of the cooled milk and whisk to combine thoroughly. I add back to the rest of the pot, stir CAREFULLY, then pour into my Pyrex dish and set in this machine for about 9 hours. So by evening, I can take out and put in fridge overnight. In the am, it is good to eat. I prefer straining it to make Greek style yogurt, so I also bought the strainer, which works so easily. The yogurt is delicious and healthier, especially if you purchase good quality milk. Two key tips- have a good digital thermometer, and heat the milk very slowly (this makes the texture smoother).

Very easy
Extremely easy to use and turns out delicious. Note: I tried the method in which you don't heat the milk and it both tasted odd and didn't thicken well.

Makes great yogurt BUT it doesn’t have a temperature dial for different styles of yogurt

Love love love this product
I bought this yogurt incubator in order to make raw, unpasteurized yogurt. The first time I tried, it was a flop. My starter was store bought raw plain yogurt. Then, I decided to try the starter which came with the product, and my yogurt turned out perfect! First, I slightly boiled the raw milk to 110 degrees so as not to kill the enzymes in the raw milk. Second, I mixed in 1 packet of the euro starter. Third, I poured the 42oz of milk into each little glass jar. Fourth, I placed a thermometer on top, which hovered right at 100 degrees F. Fifth, set the timer to 8 hours and I got perfect sweet and a little tangy plain yogurt! I should also say that I was afraid of using raw milk, but my store is reputable and I trust it. If a person wants to boil it to 180 1st, I'm sure it's good too. Plus, I was going to buy the more expensive model, but I'm glad I saved the money, this model turned out to be great.

Nice item. Love those glass jars!
I have several yogurt makers. One was given to me by a friend, the other (same model--the one from French Women Don;t Get Fat) from a tag sale, and this one. With the first two I had mixed results. I honestly think it has more to do with HOW you prepare the yogurt than the maker itself, as you can make yogurt on your counter top with NO machine, for goodness sake! I chose to buy this maker from WS because it had glass jars. Yup, that's the only reason. I was getting weary of storing liquid food plastic containers and really liked the idea of glass jars. Having said that, I have never made a bad batch, which did happen with the other brand. Glass jars (and those plastic ones) are difficult to clean around the rims, but I LOVE the date feature. For me, I just really like knowing what is IN my yogurt, which I can control my making it myself.
