    Fantastic!

    This is a FANTASTIC machine! Everything I have cooked in it has been perfect. The regular white rice is fluffy, the sticky rice is perfect. I make flavored rice with it all the time and it comes out exactly as I want each time. It is very easy to clean as well.

    Perfect rice and grains every time

    I’ve tried other brands and other models of rice cookers and this is the best one for consistently perfectly cooked rice and grains. I like that excess condensation from the lid has a drip spout and collector too. Skip the induction model. New technology isn’t always better!

    Easy, perfectly cooked rice

    Love the rice cooker! I had a very very old one, and decided it was time to upgrade. I purchased the smaller one and it is still larger than I thought it would be so make sure you’ve got enough cabinet space. The rice is delicious and you can’t mess it up. So it’s pretty seamless to use. I only wish it didn’t only have a 24 hour clock. And it had a 12 hour clock option. For the price it seems like it should have that small feature.

    Making my life easier and better

    Excellent rice cooker; I have cooked brown rice, sushi rice and basmati so far and they have cooked perfectly, consistently. It has made cooking rice so much easier.

    Wedding Gift

    Bought it for my niece as a wedding gift a few years ago. She and her husband loves the rice cooker very much, including the cute music sound when the rice is done cooking, due to even cooking of the rice and warming it. She uses the rice cooker practically every day (including for steaming veggies, meats, and making rice porridge) and is a huge upgrade from the one her parents used when she was growing up. Due to her positive response, my nephew asked for the same wedding gift as well. Highly recommend this rice cooker for all!

    Disappointed

    Sadly, I'm pretty disappointed by this rice cooker. Does it make good rice? Well ... yes and no. The basmati was delicious, but despite washing it as directed, it was sticky, not fluffy. The brown rice was dry, and it even burnt a bit on the bottom. What was most frustrating, though, was the timing. The basmati should take 15 minutes to cook (plus 10 to sit and steam). The timer on the Zojirushi starts out at 64 minutes ... but then it jumps down (and back up) ... so you really have no idea of the cooking time. Same with the brown rice. In a pot on the stove, it would take 45 minutes to cook and 10 minutes to sit ... but the Zojirushi started at 64 minutes, then jumped up to 77 minutes, and then down to 45 minutes. Just when I thought I had it perfectly timed to to put the salmon in the oven for it's 14 minutes of cooking time, the timer jumped down to 6 minutes.

    Perfect Rice Every Time

    Fantastic. Perfect Rice every time! I used to bake rice with mixed results, now just measure ingredients and push start. Very well-made. I will have for a long time!
