Use & Care
Care
- Remove brew group from machine and rinse under tap once a week. Let air-dry before replacing in machine. Do not use cloth to dry, as it may shed lint.
- Replace AquaClean water filter every 3 months. After 8 filters, machine will prompt you to descale using descaling cycle.
- Drip tray and drip-tray cover are dishwasher safe.
- Dispense hot water with milk frother attached to machine for thorough cleaning. Remove milk frother and disassemble. Clean all parts under tap or in dishwasher.

Good for beginners

On the plus side, this machine makes a consistent espresso and if you are just starting to make your own, this is not a bad option. But if you have been making your own to the point where you are choosy about and weighing your bean for each serving, you will be happier with something else. I would call this more of a machine for a beginner or someone who just wants the convenience of pushing a button.

Great coffee maker

This machine has alot of better features than our older model. The instructions were fairly easy once I pulled up the pdf booklet . The grinder is much quieter and seems less prone to blockages. It makes nice hot coffee with a nice crema. My only complaint is that it makes a smaller amount and I use larger coffee mugs, but the 2 cup feature solves that problem! So far very pleased.

Williams Sonoma Customer Service & Shipping Issues

Product was delivered with an empty box… nothing inside it. Talked to customer service and they told me it is not their issue and that it’s a UPS issue. They will not do anything on their end to help me figure this out and told me that I will need to have UPS figure it out. I paid $700 for an empty box. Ridiculous. No refund no replacement shipment, nothing! Don’t shop here.

Love it!

I bought this based on a recommendation from a friend and am very happy I did. I replaced a Nespresso machine with it and love that I’m already saving money on the capsules (plus reducing waste). The machine works great - it brews espresso shots perfectly and froths the milk nicely. I do wish I didn’t have to hold the milk frothing jug while frothing, but it’s a tiny inconvenience.

Easy to clean with built in grinder

I feel so fancy.

It’s great for both single servings and multiple cups. So far so good. I feel like a professional batista lol. The machine isn't very loud and it seems to be very high quality. It's very lightweight to be a fancy coffee machine. I have gained a new love for coffee making. I'm a frappe espresso machine. Btw very easy clean up.

Great coffee & easy to clean!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am obsessed with this espresso machine. The bean hopper has a great lid that seals well to keep the coffee beans fresh. The spout where the coffee comes out can move up and down to accommodate different sized cups. It is pretty quick, maybe takes one minute to heat up. It also does a pre-rinse where it lets some water out to clean out the spout, which was super nice. It is a little on the loud side, but I’ve had another espresso machine that was louder. I’d say it’s nothing out of the norm from a sound level perspective. It is sooooo easy to clean and a lot of pieces are dishwasher safe. I would highly recommend.

Easy to use and maintain !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I received this Phillips Automatic Espresso machine at no charge in exchange for my candid opinion. Well, it makes a fabulous espresso or latte and is super easy to use and maintain! The instructions are a little cryptic but there are a number of YouTube videos out there if you have difficulty with the no language, illustration only type instructions. The machine takes a little bit of usage to figure out that it’s going to self clean whenever you turn it on or off which it will do on its own and you can adjust that time. You just don’t want a cup of espresso under the spouts when it does as it will dilute and ruin your drink. All in all it is a wonderful machine. I do find myself making more espresso than before and it’s because it is so easy and the results so good. Great product!
