Awesome Machine
I bought this machine a little over three years ago as an entry machine into espresso not knowing what to expect. Breville did a fantastic job engineering this. Everything fits well, the maintenance is straight forward, and it makes fantastic coffee. The integrated grinder makes it very easy to pour your beans in, grind, tamp, and transfer to pulling a shot. I ordered a collar for the portafilter that prevents the grinds from spilling out, but I believe Breville has added this to the product. I’ve made roughly 2000+ shots and it still works as good as the day I got it. The one issue I had was the grinds getting stuck on the seal where the portafilter screws in. It would unscrew itself while pulling a shot. I added a quick wipe down before each pull and that did the trick, otherwise I would have replaced the seal that Breville sells on their site. Highly recommend this machine!

This is my second Breville product and my LAST.
This is my second Breville product and my last. If had to describe the Breville Espresso Machine in one word: INCONSISTENT. I've watched countless video tutorials produced by Breville and other consumers. I follow the exact process every.single.day. yet one day the espresso is so scorching hot it will scald you; the next its cool --doesn't even reach lukewarm. I brew two espressos each day: one for myself and another for my husband. One will have the "crema" on top, the other will not. No consistency to which shot will get that layer on top. One day it's the first pull, the next day it's the second, the next day neither. One day the first shot will be scorching hot, the second one not even lukewarm. The next day it's reversed, the third day both are cool --not even lukewarm. This was such a waste of $1,000?! As I started with, this is my second Breville product and my second disappointment with Breville. We also purchased a Breville toaster oven from Williams Sonoma, that from day one delivered the same, inconsistent results as this dismal Barista Pro. Will NEVER purchase another Breville product.

The worst mashine and Brend
I bought this machine three years ago for my birthday, and I think it is the worst purchase I've ever made. It broke after three months. For about half a year, I was trying to fix it, and finally I sent it to Breville to be fixed. However, after I received it back within two months, nothing was fixed.

Buy one… don’t think… just do it!
I. Love. Mine. Easy to use. Hot. High quality for a home machine. Love the sneaky storage. I saw reviews of it being hard to use and making cold espresso and not grinding good, etc. My experience has been 100% wonderful with it. Highly recommend. I do wish it would have come with gold and sea salt instead of chrome and sea salt but it still looks adorbs sitting in my kitchen. Buy one!!!

Good functionality, cool temp espresso
Love how the machine works and the control it offers me as the user. However, the temperature would have been a deal breaker, had I known. The liquid is not even tepid, and yes, I adjusted to the highest temperature available. To make it work, I had to buy a metal pitcher to use with a cup warmer to heat it up to something drinkable. Grinder is great, the interface is good, but cold espresso is not at all pleasant for $850. If there is a remedy, I sure would appreciate assistance with this.

All Plastic
The description of the product states it is stainless steel. The product is not stainless steel. It is an entire plastic body including all of the knobs .Low quality and fraudulently marketed as stainless, when it is not.

Waste of Money
After 3 months I still cannot make a decent espresso. I've had help from in-store W-S "expert" and spent a lot of time on the phone with Breville support. The color choices are great and Breville is usually very dependable. But there are better options for your money if you really know what good espresso is.

Great espresso machine for beginners but grinder lacks
Bought this a little over a month ago and it makes good espresso perfect for a beginner. But I’d rather it not have the grinder as it’s not that great, grounds are clumpy and retention is bad making for inconsistent dosing. Might put 18 grams of beans in and get 19 out or 18 in 16.9 out.

Love it
Although this isn’t the best for a beginner , it comes with enough information to be able to understand the basics and then many videos and trial and error help to perfect the process. The machine isn’t humongous but it is solid and is a great addition to my at home coffee portions.
