Product design problem

Gasket started failing after a couple of months of use. I love it, but this is a product design problem. It should be covered by the warranty--however, try to get anyone to respond from aeropress--crickets.

Perfect Starts to the Day

Amazing device. A tad bit expensive but I guess it’s the price you pay for avoiding plastic. The device itself is phenomenal. Build quality is second to none. Solid glass and great outcomes. Everyone loves the coffee it makes. It’s part of my morning ritual now. 10/10 will recommend. If you’re looking to buy it, definitely do. Williams Sonoma is one of the few retailers that carry it. Shipping was fast and well packaged. I couldn’t be happier with it. Best purchase all year.

A big disappointment and regrets

I took a chance on this updated version of Aeropress and I’m frankly disappointed and regret the investment. We used the original style of aeropress for years and finally stopped due to concerns about heating plastics to high temperatures. I’m very familiar with this type of press and the muscle memory of using this style of coffee preparation came back very quickly. Unfortunately, I’m regretting the purchase. First, the price point is very high comparing to the original style. I felt if I loved it, it would ultimately be worthwhile. Here are my main complaints: the plunger is extremely hard to press down, the glass shaft is narrower than the original, and unlike the original, this version doesn’t include a funnel to transfer the ground coffee to the brewing glass shaft. Lacking the funnel, it’s very annoying to brush the grounds from my grinder into the more narrow brewing shaft. The photos show that the company expects folks to use the included measuring scoop, but that not practical to remove the grounds from the grinder when you freshly grind your beans for each use. The resulting beverage is excellent and that’s why I still give the product 2 stars.

Long awaited for

LOVE IT! A bit more than I wanted to spend on something I already love, this product I found accidentally before Covid and now enjoy my Aeropress. So beautiful and always best to avoid plastic and heat. all glass is so nice and 1st grade fit and finish. the filtration seems to be a little off, my paper filters are way more clean, not sure how that works. such a nice added kitchen tool and love the looks. I wish I could buy some kind of warranty for breaking the glass, I see the price keeps going up.

Love AeroPress but there is no reason to buy glass

This is my second glass coffee press and now I know why my first one cracked. The stir stick was half the weight of my first coffee press, it must have been cracking the glass because they made it lighter. I like it but it's no better than the plastic one. Frankly, I wouldn't buy a glass one again. I only did because my husband liked it and now I know why my first one broke.

Works great, nicely made, yet dumb packaging.

It's big and heavy, yet works as well if not better than the plastic version. The packaging is really dumb: a large box and foam designed to be fancy, yet thrown away. What it really needs is a reusable storage box of some kind that fits in a drawer. The "spoons" it comes with are worthless. Otherwise it's pretty nice and I'm glad I bought it.

Excellent quality, makes a great cup of coffee. A real upgrade from the plastic version

What an upgrade!

We’ve been using the plastic version for years. Got this for my husband for his birthday and he loves it! Has such a nice weight, was worried it would be fragile but (so far) seems quite durable. Got the metal filter which we don’t love but this unit is awesome! Would definitely recommend.

Nice product but not if the cylinder breaks

I did enjoy the product but I only had it two month before it broke. The cyclinder is a heavy piece so if you are not careful it can fall out of your hands like it did mine and break. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this especially with the price as I see it today. Also at this time there is no replacement part. Though aeropress says they are working on it. For some reason I am unable to upload the images.

I love this thing, perfect “Apple ” quality and glass is the long awaited for.
