I have been a devoted maker of coffee using a Moka pot, French press, or Hario V60. I recently decided I would like a lower-effort cup of coffee in the morning. I drink a double latte each morning using the espresso setting on the Philips Baristina. I use the frother with a combination of 2% milk and half and half. I note the frother is the easiest to clean of the ~5 I have owned. The resulting latte is better than I can get at any coffee shop. The cleanup is easy. I am very happy with this product.

broke after months of amazing use. They have no solution to fix the defects of continuous use. Has great potential

Broke After 3 Months

The baristina developed an internal leak after just 3 months of use. When I try to use it, it overflows and dumps hot water everywhere. Sometimes it kind of works, but the coffee is terrible. Phillips customer support has ghosted me on this after confirming the problem via video call.

Incredible Product - Great Cup of Coffee

We first used this machine while staying at a vacation rental in Curaçao and loved how easy it was to use. I ordered it on our layover on the way home. It makes an incredible cup of coffee. I’d recommend the milk frother attachment which works really well with all types of milk, including almond milk which is notoriously hard to froth. We paid a little more for the wood handle because it coordinated well in our kitchen, but that was entirely for aesthetic purposes- and probably unnecessary for most people. And you’ve got to love William Sonoma’s price matching policy- the device went on sale a few days later and customer service adjusted the price.

Very disappointing

Machine was bought with milk frother with the help of William Sonoma sales person. Loved the ease and the coffee but within 5 months it poured water out with grounds. I called warranty and after a month and half they sent me a label to return, it took approximately 15 long waiting calls to get this done. Now I cannot get a response on receiving a new Baristina. Very disappointed with Philips and Williams Sonoma for even selling.

Avoid this machine!!

This machine worked great for about 6 months then water started leaking through the portafilter. I contacted Philips for help and shipped my machine back and now they want to offer me a completely different machine (when this model is still available for sale) that has worse reviews than this and is not even offered on their own website. Consider a different brand for your espresso.

Phillips Baristina is amazing! If you like espresso and espresso drinks, then this is your machine. Very easy to use very simple to set up. I have not had one problem with it and I have had it for a few weeks now.

Very happy with baristina espresso machine. Coffee taste great, looks beautiful in my kitchen and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. It’s simple to use. I have no complaints.

Fast and easy automatic espresso!
