The best whistling kettle on the market

This is a solid, beautiful looking kettle. It looks nice on the stovetop. Before buying, I spent days reading kettle reviews everywhere. I was hard-pressed to find any one kettle that had overwhelming positive reviews. This kettle had the highest customer ratings, so I bought the stainless version. It is durable like my last Le Creuset enamel tea kettle, except easier to take the lid on and off. Overall, I am really happy with this purchase.

Good but not great.

Good, but not as Good as the old OXO with the handle that opened the spout. The build quality is excellent, but I don’t like having to get my hand close to the spout to open it to pour water. If you fill the pot to near full, you have to be careful because the hot water can surge out if you don’t pour slowly and carefully.

W-S’s packing & quality control needs work!

I bought this tea pot twice and both times it was not useable, due to the plastic whistle part being broken in the exact same place on both units. I bought the first one in store so I didn’t pay much attention to how or why, figuring the break was just an anomaly. I returned it to the store and the replacement had to be shipped. Upon delivery, there was ZERO packing material between the Le Creuset box and the much larger Williams-Sonoma shipping box. So, it would seem that the poorly packed tea pot basically bounced around in the shipping box, until it popped through its manufacturer’s box and broke at the weakest point. I suspect the first one was a return to the store that was also poorly packed, with no quality control before putting it on the shelf for sale, given that both of the Le Creuset manufacturer’s boxes were punched through at the same place, where the break occurred. This was an exact replacement of our previous, much loved Le Creuset tea pot. The third one was finally the charm, which I ended up purchasing directly from Le Creuset with no problem, because it was properly packed for shipping. We again have a beloved Le Creuset tea pot, and if you read this far, the tea pot itself gets a 5 star rating. The one star is in the hopes that W-S will see this and review their packing procedures.

Lovely tea pot

This tea pot is substantial and beautiful. It has a generous cheerful whistle and I love the wooden handle that doesn’t get hot!

Do not recommend.

This item is extremely heavy and the handle is way to hot to hold with out a pot holder. The lid is difficult to open to fill.

Perfection I love it

I love the shine And easy to clean. to keep the water spots from forming I empty it every day after using it and when it gets water spots on the inside, I soak it with baking soda water, and it rinses right out

Do not buy

Beautiful looking however it projectile spits boiling water every time we’ve used it….have owned and used kettles for 30 years, literally never had an issue like this with any others

Handle too hot

Love the look of this but unfortunately when we heat the water in it the wooden handle gets so hot you have to wear a mitt. not good
