Perfect fit

Perfect size for a smaller stove top. Easy to clean. Travels well, for camping or bringing to the office.

Started rusting after a year

I started to see black flakes in my water. Come to find out that after a year of normal use, the bottom of the inside started rusting badly. There's no repairing it.

Beautiful Teapot

I have 3 of these teapots at different locations. I liked it better when the knob on the top was black and not silver. The box that this new one came in was absolutely terrible. It came apart and the teapot basically fell out. When you pay this price for something at least put it in a decent presentation box.

Great kettle - use it properly!

Other reviews have complained about water spitting out when pouring. It's probably due to (1) overfilling and (2) pouring super high boiling water immediately into a cup. Just give it a second or two. I have not had any problems with this kettle or the design. The instructions have a diagram of how high the water should be filled. If you follow this it works perfectly. I have an electric stove (non smooth top) I love the design, the whistle is loud and stainless is easy to keep sparkling. You won't regret this purchase.

Love this kettle

We have had this kettle for several months and it is the perfect size for our needs. However, I have noticed some discoloration spots in the stainless steel finish on the sides of the kettle. I have always carefully washed the kettle but I believe the discoloration is from heat. Please advise as to how to remove the stains. I would give this kettle a 5 star rating but feel that the finish should not show this discoloration.

Cute teapot

Very cute teapot. The only complaint I have is that if you fill it with too much water, once it starts boiling the gushes out. I still love it, I've just learned how high to fill it.

Happy with my new teapot

I really like this teapot. I was looking for something smaller, since I have a small apartment stove, and others I looked at were too large. This is the perfect size. I also wanted a stainless steel teapot, since my old teapot was corroded on the inside, which I felt might not be safe to use. So far I am very happy with this teapot; and it also looks very good on the stove.

Petite but holds plenty of water anyway

Excellent tea kettle. Nice whistle. Just need to wait about 1 minute before pouring since the water jumps out of the kettle right after coming to a boil. Using this on my new smooth top electric stove. I can wipe out the inside of the kettle. Take out the excess water overnight. Great purchase

Disappointed

Love everything about this little kettle, however, the spout is not welded on securely and popped off. I am really disappointed because it was the kettle I had been searching for and did everything I needed. It’s also incredibly hard to keep clean on the outside and picks up every bit of kitchen dirt and oil and I keep a very clean kitchen!

whistle broke within 2 months

I am so disappointed in this little kettle especially for the steep price. The size is perfect, the design is beautiful and it looks great sitting on the stovetop. Unfortunately, the whistle portion is poorly designed and cheaply made, it broke within two months of us using this daily. It also scratches really easily and is simply not up to the rigors of daily use in a busy household. This lacks the quality of other Le Creuset items and is definitely not worth the money.
