Use & Care
Use
- For use with ground coffee.
- If machine is not used for more than one week, run rinse cycle before using again.
Care
- Unplug and allow to cool before cleaning.
- Drip tray, milk jug and small cup tray are dishwasher safe.
- Avoid using solvents, abrasive detergents and alcohol.
- Do not use metal objects to remove encrustations or coffee deposits as they can damage machine.
- Wipe exterior clean with damp cloth.
- Clean and dry drip tray, cup filter, coffee spout, water tank and steam wand regularly using included cleaning brush and cleaning needle. Follow instructions in user manual.
- Alert lets you know when machine needs descaling.
- Descale using De'Longhi descaler. Read all instructions before descaling. Descaler liquid can damage delicate surfaces. If product is accidentally spilled, dry immediately.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Absolutely love this espresso machine! Although compact (which makes it great for countertop storage) it’s incredibly versatile. We’ve made many different coffee based beverages with it and have always been impressed. My favourite feature is the little pedestal for smarter cups. It’s such a small but functional feature that helps reduce the amount of splash residue that needs to be cleaned! This one is a 10/10 for us.

Upgrade from ecp3630. Recommended

Upgrading from the ecp3630. It’s absolutely better in every way. Easy to use and very fast. Like right away after turn it on you start pouring after a few seconds. Although it’s 51 mm. The accessories I have bought after market for my ecp3630 did not fit properly. So I will be looking for a better tamper. Screen. Etc. overall worth every penny. Recommend the upgrade.

Makes great espresso without a trip to Starbucks

I wanted to start making fancier coffees at home and cut back on my Starbucks tab, so I decided to get this machine. The one I wanted was out of stock so I bought a more expensive machine that I probably needed. I got a De'Longhi espresso machine because every appliance I've purchased from that brand just works and I trust them. I'm no barista but so far my coffee concoctions look and taste similar to the "real" thing at a fraction of he cost.

Fantastic Machine!

The Dedica Maestro Plus was the perfect gift for my espresso loving husband. The setup was very easy, with clear instructions and helpful accompanying photos. The footprint is perfect for our counter space, not too big or wide. After cleaning and setup, we made the first espresso, and my husband is so happy!! It is so easy to use and very straightforward. He is now going to look for the perfect beans and grind to get him his ideal cup!!

No froth after 2 months

My machine stopped frothing after only 2 months of use. All suggested solutions were attempted. The warranty consists of me shipping the machine to DeLonghi so they can spend a few weeks trying to fix it; trying to repair this brand new machine. I am expected to simply stop drinking coffee while they figure this out, no loaner is offered while I wait. Should I be expected to buy another while I wait? Horrible experience.
