Breville Smart Grinder™ Pro Conical Burr Grinder

Beautiful looking machine but...

I purchased this to replace my original grinder which finally failed (a somewhat simple Cuisinart burr grinder which I owned for many years). I was disappointed however once I put it together (!) and used it once. It is complicated, and I believe best suited to one who is a dedicated espresso drinker. It has the option to grind beans right into the portafilter for espresso machines. I am not an espresso drinker except for a couple of times a year. It has features I really do not need at all. I grind my beans very fine but then use a drip coffee maker daily to make my very strong 16 oz. cup! It is difficult to clean and it takes a long time as you have to take apart numerous parts. Again, I was really disappointed as it is a great looking machine.

Professional grade grind. Love the look. It’s not as big as I thought it would be. I have a small kitchen, so it’s perfect!

10 Years and counting

We've had this grinder for over 10 years, still works as good as day one. Buying for someone as a gift now. Extremely consistent, grinds great, the best thing to say about it is that I haven't had to think about it - it just works and works well. Plenty of settings, although if you're an espresso perfectionist you may want to confirm it has the settings you need. Love the button (for espresso typically) that triggers the grinding just by pushing. Easy to grind straight into a filter, an espresso shot, the accompanied canister or anything else. Cleaning isn't the easiest but it's not bad. Still looks great on the counter as well. Very happy with it and think you will be too.

Not my order. I have called WS and waited on hold for 30 min for a supervisor. No one came on. I’m being sent information about another customer. This is not ok.

I love this grinder- it has multiple settings and the coffee is ground to perfection!

Great Grinder

Variety of grinds, variety of cups, easy to refill, easy to clean. Great unit. Coupled with the Breville drip coffee maker, a fantastic improvement in my morning cup of coffee.

Absolutely frustrating experience with Williams Sonoma. I ordered the Breville Smart Grinder™ Pro Conical Burr Grinder in Black Stainless Steel. They sent the wrong color, Almond Nougat. To be fair, it’s a gorgeous color, far more elegant than I expected, and honestly, I prefer it to the Black Stainless. But we chose the black specifically to match our kitchen. I reached out to customer service, and after several days, they sent a replacement… also in Almond Nougat. This entire exchange dragged out for nearly 10 days. Fast forward to now... it’s been about a month, and I still have not received the correct Black Stainless Steel grinder or a refund. I was promised follow-up from their team before a new one could be shipped, yet no one ever contacted me. I was also assured a refund would be issued immediately, and yet my Williams Sonoma credit card is still showing the charge. This is completely unacceptable for a retailer of their supposed reputation. The customer service is non-existent, disorganized, and utterly disappointing. I’ll be avoiding Williams Sonoma going forward. On the flip side, the grinder itself is excellent, as expected from Breville. It delivers quiet, precise, consistent grinding and is the perfect companion to both our Breville Oracle Touch and Breville Luxe Drip Coffee Maker. The included container is great for batch grinding and trying out new beans. Breville continues to impress. Williams Sonoma, not so much.
