It’s a slippery sucker

The material is cutting board is great however it constantly slides around my countertop and makes it very difficult (and dangerous) to chop anything. If the store wasn’t so far away from my house, I would probably return it.

Delightful Cutting Boards

I’m delighted to have found this 3-piece set of cutting boards that don’t et sliced up from my chopping.

Nice, but can use it only on one side!

These boards, needless to say, look really nice, especially since I store it on the countertop. But is it as functional? I'd say mostly yes. The different sizes work for different prep needs, and the largest one is a good size. Can be used for both dry and wet prep.The white synthetic also tends to hide all the wear and tear from sharp knives, and you can only see the "scars" if you look up close (this is after 1 month of regular use). The best part is the board is not stained with any food color yet! Now, the biggest trick to using this board and not hating it, is to use it on the right side. A lot of reviews said it slips. I encountered this too, and I couldn't have been more frustrated. But this only happened on occasion. Turns out, whenever I used the side with the Williams Sonoma logo on, it stayed stable - the other side is flat and so stays put on my marble countertop. If I flip it, with the WS logo side down, it tends to wobble and slip every time I chop because this side is slightly beveled. So, I'm happy with these boards as long as I'm using it on the right side.

The board is satisfactory but not the greatest. After washing it bends slightly and does not lie flat on counter top.

Very nice cutting boards that are made well. These should hold their shape and not warp. I expect these will be put to a lot of use. Great product!

Are plastic cutting boards toxic ?

I bought these and they were wonderful because they don’t stain very easily. But I was reading on how microplastics come off plastic cutting boards and you land up with the plastic in your food. So I may throw them out and get wood. Can Williams Sonoma provide clarity on if these plastic cutting boards have micro-plastic that comes off the board.

They look great and are great sizes. However, as another review stated, they slide all over when you cut on them.
