    Perfect.

Granddaughter loved her cutting board, given as a bridal shower gift. Perfect.

    Damaged

My board came scratched up unfortunately… I didn’t even take packaging off yet and could see it, big marks on it. I don’t know if it just got these scratches and mark during shipping but I am very disappointed

    Very nice!

Saw a handful of previous reviews mentioning quality issues, but figured we would give it a shot because most seemed satisfied. Price well within reason, was on back-order for a little while, but arrived in immaculate condition. Only curious design choice was engraving Williams Sonoma and not filling it in, but that’s a minor nitpick.

    Excellent cutting board

Very nice cutting board with a beautiful finish. Expected nothing less from Williams Sonoma! I have gotten compliments on it as well, which I’ve never gotten before for a cutting board.

    Cutting Board Winner!

We were in search of a nice cutting board that we could leave out at all times and we found one. The store also told us how to care for the board which was valuable.

    Cutting board

I love the beauty of this cutting board. This is my second one. I have a smaller cutting board and now I got the larger. It’s silly to say, but when I have quality cookware, I’m more excited to cook. Everything that I have bought from William Sonoma is a one and done it last forever .

    Nice color arrived damaged

I had one of these of about 10 years but I finally needed a new one .it has the same sticker issue and the wood has a huge divot in it. The quality is very lacking. Might last a year or two. It’s a very pretty color but sticker issue and divot in the wood are not worth the price.

good looking but not really usable

To be fair, most of the items I got from WS are in excellent condition so I never really bother to write reviews. Not this time... Purchased the board online and received it 5 days ago. The board is made of end-grain which is good and the overall board looks pretty. However, upon taking off the huge WS logo, there are 2 areas with adhesive attached to the board, or more like "into" the board. I tried to clean it, rub it, wash it off - no luck. I contacted WS via emails and phone calls but got little help. Was even told by WS to scrape it using a razor blade... Even after doing that that area remains sticky. Not sure if the product is just poorly designed (why put such strong adhesive is beyond me) or I just got a defective one.

    All *********over

I like this board alot and serves my purpose well!

I use this board about once a week for veggies and fruits, as well as some other things except poultry, meat, or fish (I have a separate board for those items for sanitary reasons and separating). However, this board has served me well for about a year. I have not had the glue issue as other consumers and this was a concern for me once reading the reviews. My board arrived in great condition and I removed the packaging without a trace of glue! It was so easy and without any problems! The board works well with my German Wusthof Knives as they do not damage them in any way and they do not leave any marks on the board. I purchased the oil for resealing from WS, which has worked well, too. My board looks like new one year later and like everything else I purchase from WS (most of my cookware and tools), it works well. It was also cheaper than buying other boards which can be $200.00 or $300.00 dollars. I was able to buy this on sale and I am pleased with my purchase.

    Good board especially on sale

I purchased this board in a rush. My smaller, older thinner, board broke in half just before cooking for family. Needing a quality board for my expensive Japanese knives I rushed out to find a suitable board. WS was my third stop after the first two had horrible examples of cheaper boards of the same wood. Thankfully there was a sale which brought the price down to a more real world price(within $10 of other quality acacia boards of similar size). The board came in a semi smooth raw finish as someone else said rough finish but this is fairly normal. After the must do oilling process the finish is smooth and the wood took the oils great and made the wood have a very attractive finish. The surface isn’t exactly perfectly flat. There are very small waves in between each section of wood that could be block sanded down flat but realistically this isn’t a problem but for the money it could be a bit more even. The glue dots from the label are kinda ridiculous. The end grain of the wood really soaked that glue up. There’s just no need for the glue anyway considering how it was packaged. The glue isn’t a deal breaker unless you’re just a finish snob. On my board they ended up being about 1/4 blob shaped marks that you don’t notice after oil and use. If this board is a Show piece that you’re afraid to use then you will see them, otherwise get a grip, use the board and develop character on the surface and the glue won’t bother you. People that will use the board won’t care. Other than the Williams Sonoma price(not sale price) that puts this board almost twice the cost of other quality boards, this is a really good board. If you like the WS branding you’ll be happy with this board over the othe board/wood combos they offer for three times the cost. I’m happy with my purchase at sale price ;-)
