Rusted while food was inside

I placed warm naan bread in this cast iron tortilla warmer which was preheated to keep them warm. The inside of the warmer rusted within a few hours and dripped rust from the little condensation that formed on the inside of the top of the lid. I do not recommend and sadly I threw away the box it came in to send it back.

Size

Doesn't seem to keep things very warm and issue with the size. While it is nice to be able to fit a flour tortilla, I purchased this for my family gatherings to keep corn tortillas warm, which is what we Mexicans use tortilla warmers for. We don't typically use this for flour tortillas since flour tortillas are not typically used in large gatherings/family get togethers so it is larger than needed for this purpose.

I really like this piece with the exception that it’s difficult to pick up. It needs handles.

Beautiful dish, but not for tortillas

It’s a beautiful dish, however not fit for tortilla warming use. The tortillas are warm, which build condensation, and as the dish is cast iron, the moisture causes the cast iron to rust. The first time I used the dish was at a rehearsal dinner event, and when we opened the dish to get tortillas, all of them were ruined by the rust dripping from the lid.
