Use & Care
Use
- Ideal for use on any type of cooktop, including induction.
- Oven and broiler safe.
- Each time you use pan, apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to cooking surface and preheat pan slowly before adding food.
Care
- Hand-wash fry pan with hot water and stiff nylon brush; do not use soap or harsh detergents.
- Dry thoroughly and apply small amount of vegetable oil on inside and outside surfaces while pan is still warm.
- Store pan in dry location.

Cookin’ in Iron—Classic!

Nice skillets—CLASSIC. We’ve gone back to cast iron and removed the non-stick pans from our collection. Better health-wise and planet-wise. Easy to care for, and love, love, love the second handle, especially for the largest skillet.

I love the products but packing was quite bad

I am really happy I found these cast iron skillets. They are the best for sautéing and frying, no toxic chemicals. I love the W & S sells this trusted brand of traditional cookware. The reason I took one star off in my review is the packing, which in my opinion was quite bad. There was absolutely no padding. Each skillet was in a thin plastic bag and all 3 were in a much larger box. There was no padding between them and they were clanking inside the box. Luckily they were sturdy enough and arrived in a good condition.

too heavy, handles too short

difficult to pick up I have had cast iron skillets before. These are terrible. they are extremely heavy and the handles are so short it is impossible to even pick them up. The silicone red handle I bought from lodge doesnt help. The handle with the silicone cover was as hot as the skillet itself. The handle is so short my hand has to touch the side of the hot skillet to even attempt to pick up.. With the silicone cover it is impossible to try and pick up with out an oven mitt. The second handle is not far enough away from the side of the skillet and with a mitt on, you cannot grab it safely. I could not even bring the pan over to the table and had to plate everything by the stove.

Love these new skillets!

Everything I made has turned out great in these pans. I switched to cast iron because my non stick pans were starting to lose their coating. I bought the accessory kit and spray the pan before I use it and nothing has stuck to the pans, including scrambled eggs. Highly recommend!

Changed my life

I had always been super intimidated by cast iron. Cleaning it properly, seasoning it properly, cooking with it properly- it seemed like a bit much. I did some research, watched some tutorials about proper care/technique and ordered this perfect set of Lodge Cast Iron cookware at the recommendation of a chef and friend. Best investment EVER! We have been using them constantly over the last month and all I can say- why in the heck didn’t I use cast iron before
