    Summary

A versatile piece featuring a large surface area for searing, with straight sides to hold in liquid and prevent splattering and lid to lock in moisture, this pan serves as an all-in-one performer for sautéing, searing, braising, sauce-making and even deep-frying. Great for cooks of all skill levels, the pan is from All-Clad's original three-layer bonded Stainless Steel cookware line, which pairs classic style with modern practicality. A new capacity engraving on the base makes for quick identification, and an improved ergonomic handle ensures comfort. Classic tri-ply construction, made with a responsive aluminum core bonded together with two layers of durable, stainless steel all the way around for maximum durability and fast, even heat distribution.

    Use & Care

    Use

    • Ideal for use on any type of cooktop, including induction.
    • Oven and broiler safe to 600°F.
    • Apart from preheating, empty pans should not be left on a hot burner as it can cause damage.
    • Overheating can cause brown or blue stains to appear. Large amounts of iron content in your water may cause your pan to look rusty.
    • To avoid small white dots or pits from forming in your pan, bring liquids to a boil or wait until food starts to cook before adding salt.
    • Pitting does not interfere with cooking performance but can diminish the beauty of your pan's interior.

    Care

    • Allow pan to cool prior to cleaning.
    • Hand-wash.
    • Rinse off any excess food with warm water, then soak in warm soapy water. Use a sponge or soft cloth to clean the interior and exterior surfaces.
    • Rinse with warm water and dry immediately to prevent spotting.
    • If the stainless-steel surface is not sufficiently clean, repeat the process with a nonabrasive, non-chlorine cleanser, such as All-Clad cookware cleaner, Bar Keeper's Friend or Bon Ami on the stainless surface only. Rinse with warm water. Form a paste with cookware cleanser and a small amount of water. Apply the paste using a soft cloth or sponge, rubbing in a circular motion from the center outwards.
    • Rinse with warm water and dry immediately.
    • Do not use oven cleansers, steel wool, steel scouring pads, harsh detergents or detergents containing chlorine bleach, which can damage the pan.
    • Nylon scrubbing pads can be used on stainless steel surfaces.
    • Never place a hot pan under cold water as it could cause warping.

Do Not order unless you want to wait 3+ months

I will never order from Williams Sonoma again. I made an order on January 5th 2025 with an expected delivery day of January 21st. Since then, I’ve spoken to customer support 5 times only to be provided excuses on why they cannot cancel my order which was delayed until late March! This company is withholding over $200 of my money and will not return it, after it has been confirmed that All Clad has cancelled their order on their end. I am so frustrated and truly will never shop here again.

    Evenly cooks

This is a versatile pan for stovetop cooking. It cooks evenly on my induction stove. The only bad part was the lid handle gets hot, too close to lid. Otherwise, I love cooking with this pan, it’s perfect for 2-4 people recipes. So happy to own this!

    Great pan

We are enjoying this pan very much. This is our first All-clad item. The pork tenderloin cooked using it was excellent. The size is perfect for our family with four grandkids and four adult children.

Switched from nonstick to All Clad Stainless Steel

I was debating between All Clad and the brand Made In that is made in Italy to transition to Stainless Steel, replacing an older Calphalon nonstick pan that I absolutely used all of the time. I really wanted something USA made - and I am so happy I chose this All Clad D3! I have been sauteeing sauces, vegetables, and this past weekend pan fried chicken breasts schnitzel style. It heats evenly, the lid fits perfectly, I love the higher sides vs. a traditional frying pan. It has lived up to what All Clad promised so far in terms of even cooking and easy cleanup.

    Simply the best there is!

Purchased the 2 qt saute pan to add to my other All-Clad pieces. They're the last pans I'll ever buy and definitely worth the money - they cook evenly, don't warp like others, are sturdy and still look new even after 2 years! (I wash them by hand even though they are dishwasher safe). They are gorgeous pans and I can't say enough about them. I only wish I would have known about them years ago!

    Great replacement

Great replacement for my All-Clad 2 quart non-stick sauté pan. Love my All-Clad cookware. Love the way this pan cooks. Love the weight. This pan is the one I use almost daily. Very happy that my daughter got me this pan for Christmas.

    Easy to love

I use the saute pan primarily to combine ingredients to make a one pot meal. The user instructions have been very helpful, since I'm not what you call a cook. I am amazed how easy it is to clean the pan, easier than my former no-stick frying pan. So, I'm happy with my purchase and wondering why it took me so long to get this quality pan.

    Saute Pans Are Not Skillets!

Saute pans have higher sides for two very good reasons: 1) Sautéing tends to be a splattery proposition and the higher sides help limit the mess. 2) The higher sides help retain moisture. They also have more cooking area than the equivalent size skillet with its smaller flat cooking space and flared sides. On the other hand, I would never recommend a saute' pan for an omelet or frittata because it would be too difficult to get underneath it cleanly. I use this pan several times a week. Chicken, pork chops, scallops, shrimp, filet (the only meat I don't usually grille), all get sautéed. For one-pan meals it's absolutely the go to pan. I own 5, in 2, 3, and 5 quart, from 3 different manufacturers. All are very good to excellent, but if I could only have one, it would be the All-Clad. Buy right and you only have to buy once.
