Use & Care
Use
- Ideal for use on any type of cooktop, including induction.
- Oven and broiler safe.
- Each time you use Dutch oven and pan, apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to cooking surface and preheat slowly before adding food.
Care
- Hand-wash, dry and rub with cooking oil. A little soap is welcome.
- Store in dry location.

Altered cooking style
Although I certainly appreciate the lighter weight of the Blacklock skillet and Dutch oven, I am not happy with the necessary change in cooking procedure. Cooking with the lighter weight pan required more frequent stirrings and still resulted in scorched squash/onion saute. My well seasoned, frequently used, decades old, simple but heavy Lodge Dutch oven consistently provides superior results. I will use my 3-piece set but most likely in the oven, not stovetop. I am very happy with the depth of the large Dutch oven, the handles on both pieces and the lighter weight. It' a compromise.
