Don’t Count on the Lifetime Warranty

We purchased this pan set in 2022 based on the enthusiastic recommendation of in-store staff who praised Williams Sonoma products. Despite careful use—always hand-washing and storing with pan protectors—the large pan began bubbling and chipping in under two years. Relying on the advertised lifetime warranty, we contacted Williams Sonoma, only to be redirected to Hestan. Hestan then told us to go back to Williams Sonoma. The back-and-forth made it clear that the warranty is essentially useless. We won’t be buying this product again due to the disappointing quality and lack of support. Lesson learned: expensive nonstick cookware just isn’t worth it.

Lack of durability and WS poor customer support

As others have mentioned, these pots do not last and when I inquired about the Lifetime replacement warranty I was told it did not apply to them. I was given a runaround by contacting WS, than WS stated it was a Hestan issue, then Hestan denied that and said go back to WS. WS played that let's put him on hold game for an hour and then they would get back to me. WS lost a customer over a 9 in fry pan and not backing up their warranty. Avoid this pan set.

    Do not purchase these pans!

I do not typically make it a habit of giving reviews. Nor do I typically give bad review. Today I feel it is reasonable to do so. My son purchased this set for me as a gift in May of 2023. I had redone my kitchen after my husband had passed and he wanted me to have new cookware. There were options, but we had settled on the Williams Sonoma Thermo-Clad. I have had the pans for approximately a year and a half and they have lost their non-stick ability. I wash by hand. I use rubber of plastic utensils...I do everything right. I called customer service and spoke with a representative that asked for photos that I share of basic foods, such as egg sticking to the pan. They stated that they could not, or would not do anything about the issue. Thus, I am leaving this negative review in hopes that others will not make the same mistake as my son and I did. In a world where there are options I will not be going back to Williams Sonoma. I have purchased other items such as knives, and espresso makers but again want to reiterate there are options for cookware needs.

    Thermo-Clad Nonstick Cookware Set

I love my new set of Thermo-Clad Nonstick cookware! So far food cooks well, no sticking, and they clean up nicely.

Huge support to our cooking skills & cleanup

Our new cookware is a huge improvement over our past pots and pans. It's solidly constructed and easy to clean. The best feature is how evenly it cooks. We've only had our set a month - looking forward to this new addition to our kitchen cookware being a positive one for a long time.

    Terrible

I was gifted these in 2020 and within months they were peeling. I followed the instruction manual which said not to use above medium (standard for most pans - I only use cast iron above medium), silicone tools, fabrics pads for storing, natural soap and dish cloths for washing. Even so, they quickly began to peel with the coating disintegrating. Quality should be embarrassing to WS and I’m shocked to see they still sell these 4 years later at such a ridiculous price with such low ratings. They don’t stand behind their lifetime guarantee, so if that aspect is the goal, look elsewhere.

Don’t buy Williams Sonoma Branded products.

Even though the Williams Sonoma Branded products are more economically priced, you get what you pay for. I purchased this set in August of 2021 and the teflon coating has began peeling away on the saucepans. I contacted customer service and was told they would not do anything to remedy this as the product are more that 12 mo this old.

Shame on you Williams and Sonoma

Beware when purchasing Thermo Clad. Williams & Sonoma does not stand behind their product! My Thermo Clad set is peeling and unusable. My set is less than 2 years old. When I took them to the store for a replacement, I was informed that this set cannot be used above a medium heat!!! Also I was told at the store that I cannot use Olive oil in my pans!!! They told me that I had used heat above medium and used olive oil and that’s why my set is peeling.I felt like this was an excuse to NOT replace the pans. I never would have purchased this set had I know this. It also does NOT state these do’s and don’t s on the Williams and Sonoma website. This is from the website “ USE Ideal for all types of cooktops, including induction. Oven safe to 500°F. CARE Allow pan to cool before washing. Dishwasher safe; we recommend hand-washing for best results. Nonstick cookware is naturally subject to wear and tear. We recommend replacing your pans as needed, or approximately every five years. Avoid using steel wool, scouring pads and abrasive cleaners.” Now I’m questioning the honesty of this company. Bad move Williams and Sonoma!!!

    Absolute Trash

I have had these pans for about 18 months and I am already having to throw pans away as the nonstick coating has begun to peal off rendering the pans absolutely useless. This is despite very light usage, using low heats, and only hand washing. I truly cannot fathom why this is happening. I am so careful with my cookware and have never had pan, even the cheapest, perform so poorly. I am particularly disheartened that Williams Sonoma refuses to honor their warranty and deems peeling pans that are less than 2 years old as normal. Don’t let their “lifetime warranty” mislead you. Customer service is dismally slow to respond and they will find any reason to not honor their own policies. I would buy literally anything else.

Already unusable after just over one year

We bought this 10 piece set December 2020 (so less than 1.5 years) and the bottom of most of the pans is already chipping, and there is a chemically type smell from others even after washing them through the dishwasher a number of times. These little chips cannot be healthy when they come off as you cook with them, and with a newborn in the house we do not want to risk it so we have stopped using them. We flagged this to Williams Sonoma who said as it was over a year there is nothing they could do- really? So this is acceptable after just over a year?
