Use & Care
Use
- Ideal for use on all cooktops, including induction.
- Oven, broiler and grill safe.
- Before each use, apply thin layer of vegetable oil to cooking surface and preheat pan slowly before adding food.
Care
- Hand-wash. A little soap is welcome.
- Dry thoroughly and rub with cooking oil.
- Store in dry location.

Very good pans

I really like these cast iron pans. They cook evenly, and so far, the pre-seasoning has worked really well. I clean/dry them and wipe them down with a thin layer of oil when I'm done, and after several weeks of use, the seasoning is still great. I really like that these are lighter than other cast iron. The larger one is still two pounds heavier than my old non-stick pan, but that's much better than other cast iron! But also, due to its weight, it doesn't slide around on the burner. I really like the handles, the wider base of the main handle helps me get a good grip on it when I'm pouring or tipping it.

Light weight is a wrist-saver

Great pans, the taste of the old cast iron without the wrist-punishing weight. Only negative is that they don't heat as even since they are a thin cast iron and heat up so quickly.

As someone who restores vintage cast iron skillets, etc., I found that the Blacklock line of Lodge cast iron skillets are equally comparable to the lighter vintage skillets that I have restored and used in the past……..👍 to Lodge!!!!

I regret buying these

The finish on these pans was unlike any other cast iron I’ve ever seen. Hard to describe but looked like it was painted black. The surface definitely wasn’t right and these were not eligible for return
