- Use wood, plastic or heat-resistant nylon tools to avoid scratching the enamel surface.
- Do not slide pan on stovetop.
- Enamel can chip or crack if dropped or banged on hard surface.

Beautiful but heavy

Cooks very well. Best looking pot I have! Only negative is the weight. Being cast iron and enameled, this should not be a surprise. As I get older, it may be one that I have to lift with two hands!

Since I've been constantly bombarded with requests for reviews, I've finally relented. This cast iron sauce pan is superb. It has made the most excellent cast iron sauce I've ever tasted, but it's definitely more caste ironic than other sauce pans I've tried, and always tries to look down on my life, due to my low station. Teflon pans only make teflon sauce, which give me hives. Non-stick pans make me fall on my face and cause gastro-intestinal distress. To summarize, you'll love this sauce pan, I promise that it will amaze your friends, and frighten your enemies. Trust me, the blue ones are better. C'est bon! Viva Le Creuset!!!
