Perfect for a small family
A Gift for a wonderful daughter. She has a Le Creuset collection and asked for a saucier. This fit the bill perfectly as the size fits her small family with Le Creuset quality.

Beautiful and Functional!
While I was first drawn to this covered saucier purely for the esthetic...it has turned out to be my favorite go to for warming up soups, sauces and cooking rice and vegetables. It is the perfect size, cleans easily with soapy water. It also keeps sauces and soups warmer longer if I have some wait time while cooking something else.

Color is not as pictured
The color in the website photo is unfortunately very different from the color you receive. Returning and will repurchase in white. Otherwise it feels very durable and I am excited to use the white one in my kitchen when I receive it. Disappointed the color didn't look as expected.

Nice Pan
I bought this pan about 2 years or so ago, whenever it was first offered. I have 5 Le Creuset Dutch Ovens (D.O.) of varying sizes, and they are the work horses in my kitchen. I noticed that Bobby Flay in his show Beat Bobby Flay uses exactly the same size large D.O. as I do for much of my cooking. So, yes, I'm a loyal L.C. customer. Anyhow, I bought this pan because it had a great look to it, and also had a long handle. As a purist, I immediately replaced the stainless steel knob with a phenolic. I use the pan often, and I do like it very much. BUT, there are pros and cons: Pros: It heats up VERY fast on a gas stove with the cover on it. Water boils in about 2-3 minutes. That's awesome. The handle helps a lot as compared to a D.O., which I was hoping it would do. It is also perfect for cooking foods that need a round bottom for mixing or "swirling", like a spaghetti carbonara or sauces. It also cleans up VERY easily. Cons: The great part about it is that it is round-bottomed, but that is also its greatest flaw. Stirring or swirling often leads to spills as stuff just naturally can sneak out over the sides. So, don't fill it up if you're cooking things like sauces. Also, it's just a little too small. I would have liked another quart or two. Finally, the handle does heat up a bit, so you have to be mindful of it and not grab it too close to the pot. All-in-all, like I said, I do use it often. Yes, it could be better. But it also looks great, and I'd imagine that it would be a great gift for someone either new to L.C. or a purist, like me. A solid 4 stars.
