    Summary

    Named for the Japanese word for "connection," the Zwilling Kanren collection celebrates the bond formed while cooking and eating together. Uniting German engineering and Japanese craftsmanship, each 48-layer Damascus-style blade is forged from high-performance carbide stainless steel and hand honed using the three-step Honbazuke process. Triple-riveted Micarta handles feature Zwilling's signature curved bolster, promoting a secure grip and comfortable, fatigue-free cutting.

    Use & Care

    Use

    • Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
    • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal or glass.
    • It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.

    Care

    • Hand-wash with warm water and a mild detergent; rinse and dry immediately.
    • Avoid cleaners containing bleach or citrus extracts.
    • Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing once a week, you should not need to sharpen your knife more than once or twice a year.
    • Sharpen your knife at home using a whetstone or knife sharpener designed to sharpen between a 9- and 12-degree angle, or have it sharpened by a professional.
    • Store knife in a safe place to protect its edge and prevent injury.

    Amazing ergonomic knife set

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great knife set for anyone who loves the ergonomics of Zwilling Pro (great pinch grip), but wants sharper and more ergonomic knifes. Cutting through everything feels like cutting through butter (tomatoes, onions, squashes, meat, ... you name it). In particular, these sharp knifes does not break the cell structure while cutting onions, so no tears :-)

    Kanren Beats All Other Knives Hands Down

I continue to stop and look at how beautiful the knives are before each use. Second, they cut through anything I have challenged them with, like a butter knife through soft butter. Just an amazing cut! Third, the knives feel balanced, handle well, and stay sharp. We are marveling over our new knives. Fourth, I wish we had found these knives years ago. They are beyond incredible!

    Best knife set yet

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hands down the nicest knife set I have ever used. Holds its edge amazingly well too. I was a little apprehensive to get the set because it was the most expensive set I have ever gotten. But after using them for over a few months now I would buy them again and again. Truly great product and worth the money.
