    Use & Care

    Use

    • Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
    • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal and glass.
    • It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone, as other blades can be easily damaged.

    Care

    • Hand-wash with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse and dry immediately.
    • Avoid using cleaners that contain bleach and citrus extracts.
    • Sharpen as needed. With regular use and honing once a week, knife should not need sharpening more than once or twice a year.
    • Sharpen knife at home using a whetstone or knife sharpener, or have it sharpened by a professional.
    • Store knife in safe place to protect edge and prevent injury.

    Wusthof Santoku set

    I love my set of Wusthof Classic Santoku knives. I kept the 7” knife to compliment an existing 5” knife that I bought a year ago and gave the new 5” to a young friend of ours. The knives are sharp and perfect for chopping & slicing.

    The 5” and 7” Wusthof Santoku knives are excellent performers. The thin blade cut effortlessly, and the Santoku design works like a Japanese version of a French chef’s knife. These knives are lightweight but have enough weight to give them feel. Like all Wusthof Classic knives, the blade steel is easy to sharpen, takes a razor sharp edge, resists chipping, and stays sharp. These knives are getting a lot of use and don’t disappoint.
