Hate coffee grinds on my counter

Coffee grinds go everywhere except where they should go. I hate this machine. I clean coffee grinds every day! I hate this machine. I called but since it’s “Out of warranty time” nothing they can do.

BUYER BEWARE - What They Don't tell you.

Read before you buy! In the center where your beans go, there is a metal ball which screws onto a tiny post and washer. Of course, with all the machine's vibration, it unscrewed and fell out and is MIA. I called the SMEG parts division, as they advertise this quality of a machine has oodles of parts availability. What they don't tell you, is they only sell this tiny screw on part if you buy the Entire burr Assembly which will set you back $120 plus shipping plus installation! Gee...almost as if they know this part will naturally vibrate itself loose and you will have to spend a lot more money with them. Despicable.

    Stuck Beans!

Very excited to buy this new coffee grinder. Unfortunately only after using 3 times, we’re having problems with beans getting stuck and the coffee grind not finishing. Might have to be returned!

The Ford Pinto of coffee grinders

DO NOT purchase this product unless you want to injure yourself, and then get the run around from Williams Sonoma staff, dodging questions about safety, reliability and warranty for a refund. I was treated so poorly by both Williams Sonoma and Smeg corporate that I will never shop with them again! The grinder will fail (conveniently planned just after the 1 year warranty). When you try to clean it yourself, you will damage your hands in the process. This product is clearly defective, and Williams Sonoma nor Smeg wish to address the concerns I’ve raised to corporate. Stay away from this product, and be weary shopping with Williams Sonoma or Smeg, as they don’t care to listen to customer concerns nor do they take responsibility for their faulty products.

    Best grinder

This grinder is so great! It’s way quieter than the one we had before and there is very little coffee ground mess. The coffee goes straight into the little canister. So convenient! The hopper is quite big, so you don’t have to refill it as often. The grounds come out perfect- no chunks or various sized grounds- evenly consistent. And seriously, this thing looks beautiful on the counter! 😍

Broke within 4 weeks and can’t grind for espresso

For how expensive this is, it does not live up to its standards First, it can’t grind fine enough for actual espresso machines. I though a brand like smeg would understand that but apparently not. Very frustrating when they say it can do so. Second, the adjustment collar broke within a few weeks of owning this. What a joke. I’m upset I wasted my money on a burr grinder that does essentially the same thing a 80$ once can do. If you actually know coffee or even want a quality grinder, look elsewhere.
